The property was clean, accessible and well maintained. The staff were friendly helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Although the property is a wee distance from the town, the regular free shuttle bus into town was very handy and helpful meaning there was no limitation or cost to getting into town and beyond.

The room and areas I was in were clean. The queen bed was two mattresses pushed together. The first couple days the pool was green and murky. The sun deck is not as shown in pictures. Charged for every coffee I had at breakfast (I thought it was part of the breakfast). Convenient to have a restaurant on location but food was just okay. The beach is not a 13 minute walk to the beach. It is located high up in an unsafe to walk to road. They did have scheduled shuttle rides. Housekeeping staff was friendly and did a great job. The night waiters were a delight. So helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet servers caused anxiety. One didn’t mention that I was charged for coffee. The other was just rude. I felt like I should be there eating breakfast that is part of the price of my stay. The owners were there a lot. Not the friendliest but not rude like the shorter breakfast waiter. Someone did open my door while I was in the bathroom so that was creepy. At 50 I was on the younger side of the guest. The views were amazing. They poor a stiff drink and I appreciated that. Once the pool was cleaned I loved hanging out by the pool. Not sure I’d stay there again.

This location is not in town but in Marina Grande. We really liked the location. Much quieter and less people then in town so just depends what you prefer. It’s right on the water which we loved. 15 minute walk to town and a free shuttle that runs and will take you there. Great restaurants in this area. There is a pool but it was very cold so not heated. The lounge chairs only get sun in the morning but this was in September so maybe different during the summer. There is a beach club near by also. Note a car can’t get all the way to the hotel so when you get dropped off it’s a little bit of a walk. Although the hotel has a parking garage. We can in a Van and that can’t go that far. There is a great roof top bar which has a beautiful view. Staff is unbelievably helpful and nice. Breakfast was included and a huge variety to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This family owned hotel for almost 200 years is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The location high above the docks, the incredible historic yet modernized facilities, the staff, the food, everything is thoughtful and beyond any expectations. If in Sorrento this is the only hotel to consider

My wife and I recently celebrated a milestone birthday in Amalfi and stayed at the Anantara Convento Di Amalfi Grand Hotel. We had many hotel options, but we are so pleased that we chose the Anantara and the city of Amalfi for our stay. The location was a perfect launching point to visit the many areas of interest. It was close enough to all the restaurants, shops and sea in Amalfi, but also far enough away to enjoy a more private experience. The walk from the hotel down into the center of Amalfi was breathtaking. The staff was wonderful and always bent over backwards to make us happy. We must give a shoutout to the pastry chef for breakfast. We really enjoyed all the special treats.

The views were amazing, the deck was spacious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very convenient and delicious. Just be prepared to walk up a significant amount of stairs daily.

Hotel Plaza is in an ideal location…close to everything!! The staff is extremely friendly and super accommodating. We decided to stay another night and they were able to upgrade us to a larger room overlooking one of the main streets with a balcony. The morning breakfast buffet is AMAZING! The most delicious buffet we’ve ever had at a hotel. They also provide all of the amenities you could imagine in the rooms and the bed is super comfortable. The rooftop pool is even more beautiful than the online photos with a stunning view of Mount Vesuvius. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento!

We loved our stay here! Being up in the hills outside Sorrento and using it as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast, it was a perfect spot. Plenty of parking, though I would recommend using the street outside the hotel as it's quite tight once through the gates. The view over Capri & Ischia was fantastic, and the sunsets were out of this world! Such a nice way to unwind at the end of the day with a Spritz. Staff were incredible. Breakfast was good, and the pool was so nice! Restaurant did takeaway if you want to eat on the terrace, and go check out Eughenes and more importantly Salvatore & Mafalda for dinner, both just 5-10min walk into Termini village. We'll be back!
