Absolutely loved our stay in every way

This is the first time we visited this resort. Our friend recommended this place, so I decided to make this resort as our 2026 summer vacation destination. What a big mistake. We arrived at 4:30PM on August 4th. 99% of the resorts or hotels I’ve been to would have a room ready. Not the case this time. Well, the hotel was busy so that might be the case. We then head for the south polar because the front desk suggested us to make all our reservations there, including activities and restaurants at the hotel. The lady in charge of the reservation was friendly to other member customers, but not to us. She rushed explaining everything in 5 minutes. When I left to digest the information, made our dinner choice, and then came back to her to make the reservation, she said, “this is a just a courtesy for her to do the reservation for us.” She instead “suggested” us to use OpenTable to make our own reservations later. Well, it may be a logical suggestion, but it didn’t sound right when she was eagerly taking care of her old “friends.” During our three-night stay, even though we didn’t opt out for the housekeeping, our room was not house kept for two nights. We ended up running out of basic toiletries like shampoo. In our last day of stay, a thunderstorm caused outage from 4PM to 9PM. I thanked the crew to make an open picnic as the dinner option. But it was a horrible experience and the resort didn’t even try to address it when I checked out. This is an over priced and arrogant place.

This was the perfect hotel for our family and friends with small children. They had a blast in the pool and water activities. The property was clean and the staff was really kind/pleasant with every interaction. I will definitely be returning!

The room was clean and the staff were helpful. This hotel is located right in the heart of all the activity. If you like that, you’d enjoy this hotel. I’m used to more of a slower quiet pace, do it was a bit overwhelming for me.

When we first got there, our room was not ready. I didn’t realize check-in was until four, but we didn’t get in our room until almost 4 then the key would not work. But Jasmine she was a sweetheart. She came down to our room and make sure the key worked, and my husband was coming in the back door with some stuff and she even helped him. We chatted with her a bit of and now on she was amazing. We absolutely love the pool. My husband is not a pool person, but we did get in the pool right much yesterday, Monday.. We did meet one of the workers there his name was Dwayne.. We could not find the place to check in, but we followed him around and he showed us where to get to the front desk. He was a great guy and we even saw him again and my husband chatted with him.. thanks for a great time

1st off this place has a lot of potential. However, They charge guests way too much to not have renovated this place since it was built. (It was built in the 1940’s) It stinks and smells like a different funk on each floor. It’s creepy as hell. The curtains in our room didn’t close, We didn’t get a trash can in our room until the last day of our trip, and the toilet water is hot and steamy like it came from a jacuzzi. Doesn’t sound healthy for the nether regions and it was uncomfortable. As 2 women staying alone in the room, The curtains NEED to be able to shut. Ridiculous. Like I said, I can see why this place used to be popping back in the day. It’s not anymore though. You have a pretty good chance finding somewhere cheaper, cleaner and nicer.
