"Absolutely wonderful room- king bed with private hot spring bath ( room 1127). Wonderful amenities, goodies, drinks in fridge, etc. spacious, clean, well appointed. Half board very fun! Discount tickets for Edo Wonderland. So much fun!! Only 30 minutes to Nikko sightseeing- we had a private driver take us around for the day. Highly recommend 3 nights! One to rest up, one to spend the day at Edo Wonderland, one to enjoy NIKKO. Very relaxing with history and culture, we really enjoyed this area!...

"We booked this hotel.com but when we reached hotel at 7pm the receptionist told there's no booking under my name. We have been waited at the front desk for more than 20mins & requested the hotel to call hotel.com to vertify. After few people ( I think including the manager ) checked few times & eventually found out. We got a very bad perception to both the hotel & hotel.com. We don't know which part have problems. And those people at the front desk cannot speak English well & we cannot...

kinugawaonsen Fukumatsu

2.5 star property
6.6 out of 10, (95)
"The beds were very thin mats on the floor with the worst pillows ever and terrible duvets, more like a quilt in an exposed duvet cover. The room was large but empty. After a long day of taking multiple trains I could have cried. It was pretty much like sleeping on the floor, with sketchy bedding, two sparse threaded towels, the toilet didn’t flush very good and the bidet sprayed water on the floor. It was the worst room I’ve ever stayed at and yet paid $370 Yen for one night. Do yourself a favor...
