Weekend getaways in Vastervik

Beautiful place, lovely room, great views, quiet and delicious restaurant- parking can be difficult or far away so book early if you don’t want to walk or haul your bags 15 minutes away.

We were doing a road tour of Sweden and just happened upon this lovely property situated on a lake surrounded by a conservation area. Our room was in the new building facing the water. The room was spotless and modern in design. Each room had a small balcony. The property is a spa and has all those features- massages,, saunas, steam, indoor and outdoor pools plus hot tubs. One unique treat was the "house barge" tethered to the shore which had it's own sauna with wrap around windows looking out at...

Fun property but getting check in info required multiple calls, emails, and eventually Hotels.com intervention. Shouldn't be that much work by the guests to confirm check in and get a door code.

This was so nice, clean, comfortable & convenient!

Best hotel we stayed in all of Sweden. Super kid friendly with outdoor playground, mini-golf, water-play, and indoor play area and movie night. Rooms were great and infused with character. Hotel lobby areas were very welcoming with lots of seating and areas to hang out. Staff was quite friendly in general and the breakfast buffet was decent. Best part was the location which was only a 10 min drive from Astrid Lindgren's World and even closer to the cute central square of Vimmerby.

Walkable to restaurants

The Hotell Park was excellent. The hotel and the cottage in which we stayed were beautifully decorated. The breakfast bar was wonderful. And the owners/staff were so friendly and helpful. I would stay again in this hotel if we visit the area.
