Weekend getaways in Saugatuck

Lovely setting and beautifully outfitted room. Second floor up stairs. Hosts Jude and Bob were so welcoming and friendly! They both added to our weekend with friends. Room was comfy and nicely sized. Bathroom clean and nice walk in shower. We stayed in the Chamonix room. Breakfasts were delicious and homemade. Excellent stay! Will definitely go back to the Black River Inn!

Very clean

Brand new property. Beautiful

The B&B was in the most perfect location, just one block from downtown Saugatuck. The Inn’s breakfast was fantastic. We stayed in the Lily room which had it’s own bathroom. The yard is set up with small tables and chairs for a lovely respite anytime of the day. We drank wine in the evening and watched the birds in and out of the many feeders.

Excellent breakfast, very accommodating

It was such a nice place to stay for my friends wedding. You are treated like family the moment you walk and feel a sense of peace. Perfect location, short walk to everything. Would stay again

Very welcoming and cozy. Food was excellent! Owner and staff were kind and attentive.

Walt was great at check-in and was very conversational. We had wished the other property he owns had been opened during the off-season. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The pillows were very nice and loved the remodeling of the bathroom area. We noticed that the wall where the towels are needs some paint, but that is it. You can tell that lots of care goes into this place.

Great mattress. Very clean, quiet. Good breakfast...close to town

This is a lovely B&B with a friendly, accommodating staff and an absolutely perfect location in Saugatuck. Walk a short block past the park and you're in the shopping district. Walk a block the other direction and you're at the Kalamazoo River. Breakfasts were very satisfying and served with casual elegance, rooms were comfortable, light and airy. A few "quirky" characteristics (that one would expect given the age of the establishment - uneven floor in places, etc.) only added to the...

Proprietor, Rob, very attentive, friendly, helpful and involved in community. Facilities are an effectively retrofitted and revised motel format. Seeing this place, you might be inclined to wonder why there don't seem to be more places like this. Easy-going environment around grounds, with a horseshoe around a pool and a place for a bonfire. Easily drivable to Saugatuck, Douglas and beaches, but removed from them.

This small intimate B&B had a perfect location, charming ambience, and tops in comfort

Great location with

The cottage was really nice. Temperature comfortable (it was very hot outside when we stayed there) Clean. Love the backyard area to sit, the fire pit and the hot tub. Great place!

!

The cabin was very clean! We were there the second week of October and had no heat or air conditioning, so it was pretty hot during the day and cold at night. I also wish there were hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on. Be sure to bring your own soap because even the shampoo was a bar of soap and as a woman with long hair, it was virtually impossible to use. There was also a very large kitchen, but no pots or pans or even a toaster to actually use any of it. The pool and hot tub were very...

Great downtown location where you can walk everywhere and still get back to your place to relax.
