We were particularly impressed with the breakfast and dinner, due the beautifully renovated dining room, high food quality and outstanding service! Don’t miss out on the made-to-order eggs benedict off the breakfast menu, as it is exceptional! In addition, we appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of all hotel staff. While this long-standing hotel is under new ownership, the focus seems to be on maintaining and enhancing its unique charm and character.

Loved this cute hotel. The restaurant served a great dinner and the hotel was very close to transportation. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I would stay here again!

I just loved this classic old German hotel. It was exactly what we needed for our one-nigut stay in Göttingen. Most importantly: this hotel has WASHCLOTHS! The only one I've found in many years of European travel! But also, every employee we encountered was extremely pleasant, and the room was one of those classic old German hotel rooms work double doors, wooden furniture and big funky windows. The breakfast was very reasonable at €11.50, and we chowed down! I would return anytime.

All elements were excellent--except having enough electric fans for the rooms. The hotel is not air conditioned--except the lobby. The hotel has perhaps not adjusted to the impact of global warming.

At first, the check in with a new staff was a bit unpleasant. Later the evening gentleman was very kind, initiated to make the stay better. We are grateful for him and the hotel.

Room was clean and quiet, a bit utilitarian and old but not in bad condition. Perfect for what I needed. Breakfast was great, location was perfect!

A delightful room (Room 4), airy and neat. We appreciated the table in the room where we could eat meals. The floors were spotless. It was helpful that there were two WC, each with a shower, and that shower gel was provided. There were several grocery stores very close, including a supermarket open until 10:00pm. Do follow the German custom of leaving windows tipped open by default. Please watch out to close the shower door in such a way that water doesn't run onto the floor.

The property is well located, beautiful and clean. It served its purpose.

Lovely clean hotel with very friendly staff. Half a block from the bus. Reasonable walk to the University and city center.

This hotel is truly a 5 star hotel, the staff is fantastic, kind ,friendly And so helpful. Also the hotel belongs to relais & Chateaux The hotel has won the prestigious 5 C rating and has been a member Since 1999. THE 5 C’s are. Character, Courtesy, Calm, Charm, And Cuisine. This is a great honor. Like restaurant with Michelin Stars. Make no mistake ....this hotel is one of the best.
