Weekend getaways in Granville

If you have a car, Chez Bea is an excellent and relaxing B&B choice for visiting Granville. Beatrice is warm and welcoming and serves a delicious made to order breakfast. We gave the amenities 4 rather than 5 stars only because the bathroom and separate toilet are in a shared hallway. Otherwise, everything was well kept, and the large back garden is a lovely surprise should you desire given that the residence is tucked away in a suburban setting.

Loved this place! Only one problem. We booked this hotel because the discription said it was 15 mins from Mont Saint Michel! Wrong!!! It took us 50 mins driving to get there! So yes, it was lovely, along the coast, just not close like we were told on Hotels.com.

We only stayed one night at the Chateau, so we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to explore the grounds. The little that we were able to see was beautiful and such a needed break from the chaos of Paris. The hosts were helpful and very kind. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. My husband and I stayed at Villa les Dunes and used it as a home base to explore Mont St Michel, Fougères, and Dinan. Laurence, her mother and sister were so nice and welcoming. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay, which was a short five minutes away where we could walk out at low tide to see Mont St Michel. Cute property in a relaxing rural setting. This place was a great value and a welcome change from staying in hotels in busy areas. Host is very ecologically conscious. Great breakfast! Bed was comfortable. Bedding and towels were clean and crisp from being line dried. Would have enjoyed having one more day here.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had an overall good experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was small (16m2) but it had everything we needed. We were contacted prior to our stay about our room preferences (1 double bed vs two single beds or bathtub vs shower) and our preferences were taken into account. Great place to enjoy St. Malo for a few days. It's location is perfect, situated right next to the beach and in good distance from the town center (about a 30 min walk). The staff is unbelievably helpful.
