Margaret was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions on how to navigate the city and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants.
The morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Our room was very spacious, the couch was very comfortable and the bed was fantastic. After a full day of walking around Dover, this was a very special retreat. The views are just amazing.
We will plan a trip to spend more time with Margaret.

The host Alex is a great all around person. He greeted me and walked the property with me. In addition, he provided me with great information about the Dover Castle and how to reach it. The castle is conveniently located a 20 minute uphill walk from the house.
Another great convenient item is the Train station is an easy 20 minute walk through the city center.
I highly recommend the Church Hill House. Also, Alex cooks a great breakfast.

We came to Margate to escape a heat wave in London, so the air con was much appreciated! Beyond that, we loved the luxe bed and bedding, the updated bathroom with gorgeous shower, and the drapes which allowed us to keep out the heat.
Location is perfect, in the midst of Old Town yet no traffic passing by and very quiet st night! Overall, a perfect place to stay in Margate.

Let me say the breakfast offered by this hotel is substantially far better than any. I have experienced in another hotel anywhere so far. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. It is uncanny. It was exactly the location we wanted right by the beach. If we were going back to Margate, we would definitely come back.
