I loved everything. My room was so cozy, my bed was super comfy. The stream outside my room was so soothing, I sat outside and read my book and enjoyed the beautiful trees and the tranquil sounds of the stream. Pria the owner was so sweet. Made me feel very welcome. I cannot wait to return.

This has all the ambiance of a B&B without the stress of feeling like you're in someone's personal home. Beautiful platters of fresh fruit and waffles among other things for complimentary breakfast, and the location is ideal. It's our new go-to place for Grass Valley.

The Outside Inn was one of the most user friendly motels we've stayed at. It had every amenity we hoped for and many we didn't expect. We especially appreciated the fully self-contained bathroom (instead of the sink and vanity in the living area). The fully functional kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, plates, coffee maker, etc. were unlike anything we had seen before. We would love to stay in the "Winter Room" again, but we are curious about the other unique rooms.

This is the cutest cottage I have ever seen. Everything was Ikea'd and modern. Meaning that they have the perfect modern decor for small spaces. Stocked with coffee, tea, and a small continental breakfast including apples, Danishes, cereal.

This hotel has so much history. It gives you the feeling of being in the Old West. The town is very interesting and the people were all very kind. Check out the Deer Creek trail and suspension bridge when you are there.

This place is a hidden gem. You wouldn’t like it, though, so don’t go. They don’t have many rooms and I want there to be one left for me.

Perfect location to walk to Broad Street in Nevada City. Cute little establishment. Clean rooms, comfy bed, big TV.

What a fun and comfortable place to stay. We were on our way through town and chose this hotel as a stop over. However, it is definitely a destination type of hotel. It is a quaint town with 1 restaurant and this fun hotel. The rooms were decorated perfectly and incredibly clean and comfortable beds. Leif was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We booked this hotel last minute and was pleasantly surprised a room was available. Our check in process was quick and easy and our room was extremely nice and inviting. We had a delicious dinner at the Golden Gate Saloon located inside the hotel. Super friendly staff! We can't wait to come back.

Very quiet, cute motel in the middle of the mountains

It's located right next to I-80, which I find convenient. It's an older motel that is well- maintained and clean. The owners are polite and accommodating.
