Last-minute hotel deals in Takayama

We had a great stay at Ichika Machiya Holiday House. It was close to the train station and lots of great restaurants. The house was very very nice and clean. Thank you for a great stay!

When staying in Takayama, do yourself a favor and pick this hotel. It’s very unassuming and not luxurious, but they think about every single detail you can imagine. From the amenities (free laundry room, kitchenware, snacks, drinks, they even left a bag on my door with extra towels and other stuff when I chose the no cleaning option for the day), to the outstanding included breakfast and the attentive staff, I found myself very happy with my choice even though I stayed in other luxury and more...

This was the most personal, kind experience I have ever received from a hotel. The building itself is beautiful - this is a true look at a traditional Japanese Ryokan with a few modern comforts. The staff gave us tons of suggestions for things to do and a whole basket of sweets to try on the house. The Sake tasting was also free. This is the best place I have ever stayed.

Great location, friendly staff and very large room

This was by far the best place we stayed during our time in the Kamikochi area. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Amazing place at amazing location. Royokan experience was a surprise.

If is a charming traditional Japanese inn in Takayama. It’s location is very convenient for walking to the train station and the main tourist area, but it is situated on a quiet side street. The staff was very friendly. The Japanese breakfast was excellent. We were given kimonos to wear. A very authentic experience.

This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. The spa was excellent. I love how this hotel is designed with natural wood and minimalist intent. Great staff service as well.

The location is very convenient and the onsen is amazing. The room has a good size and the beds very comfortable.

Alojamiento super nuevo, cómodo, con un a pequeña cocina pero con todo para pasar unos buenos días en los Alpes japoneses. Y con una relación calidad/precio increíble.

Even though this hotel was not the most traditional in it's appearance, the ryokan experience here was incredibly memorable. Sleeping in a tatami covered room on futons, wearing traditional yukatas and having our kayseki meals served in our room were experiences we will never forget. Expensive because it is based on per person but something you have to do!
