Last-minute hotel deals in Damascus

Our stay was most enjoyable. Accomodations were great. Coffee 24/7! Our hosts were friendly. The downtown location allowed us access to a grocery store, eateries, souvenirs, etc. We will return.

The four-bedroom house was well appointed; the kitchen is huge. Get the Honeymoon suite if you can it's immense! The c.1880s decorations in the B&B are impressive. The broad back deck is very large. Access was easy and convenient. Laundry on the first level. James' breakfasts are to die for, especially the hot biscuits and sausage gravy. James grew up here and knows all to be known. The Emory House was lovely. Sitting on the front porch at the end of our drive was exactly what we needed. Our room was comfortable and the bed was particularly comfy. Best of all Rachel and Mike were very welcoming. We’re looking forward to staying with them again!

I have stayed here a few times during the last couple of years. It’s always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room was very clean, including the bathroom, Breakfast was good. The best part of our stay was Maria, who was most helpful and very comfortable to work with.

The property is beautiful, the people are nice and best of all… I got a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was fabulous - get the eggs benedict. My only complaint, which is minor, please serve tea with the correct temp of hot water. I know tea drinkers are the minority but hot water will go a long way with us.

Good breakfast

We only live about an hour away, but we wanted to stay near The Lincoln Theatre since we were attending the Macabre Monster Movies film festival. The hotel is literally steps from The Lincoln, and while Marion is a small town, there are some great dining options nearby. We had a late lunch at the Wooden Pickle just across the street (our favorite, we've been there numerous times), and dinner at Moon Dog Brick Oven right next door. I always love staying here but this night I got the hotel room for my parents and my grandmother, who is 99, and suffering from dementia. My grandmother had an episode and wouldn't take her medicine and claiming that my mother kidnapped her. The staff dropped what they were doing and talked to my grandmother. One lady was busy cleaning rooms and when my grandmother started talking to her she stopped what she was doing. She even walked with her to the breakfast room and calmly just talked. My...

Easy access. Clean.

My husband and I stopped overnight on our trip home from Tennessee. We just wanted to rest and be fresh for the next day's last leg of our trip, but it was so nice, we lounged around the next day until time for checkout! Cracker Barrel restaurant is literally next door - you don't even need to move your car, just walk across the parking lot. Beautiful, comfortable, convenient and great staff made this the PERFECT place to stop.

My wife and I were just looking to get away somewhere new. West Jefferson is a nice drive from Charlotte and the town is very welcoming with great restaurants. We spent time downtown W. Jefferson shopping/eating, then traveled to adjacent towns for a litte more sites. If you're traveling to West Jefferson, I definitely recommend staying at Buffalo Tavern. (And each room has a bathroom. Though it's not seen in the pictures.) We'll be back - planning to add W. Jefferson and Buffalo Tavern...

Clean and quiet room.

Stayed one night while driving home. Hotel was right off the Interstate, and was easy to locate. Check in was quick and easy. Picked this hotel because I was travelling with my dog, and Motel 6 allow pets to stay free. Room was frankly much better that I was expecting for the price. Plenty of space, bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I've paid a lot more for places that weren't nearly as nice. Absolutely would stay here again.

This is an older Motor Lodge with some room updates. The owners have done a good job with replacing old flooring with good tile and laminates, and good shower/tub area. Some new furniture pieces were also nice. Rooms are bigger than expected, which is nice for storing bikes and other recreation equip indoors.
