"Great location for shopping"
This hotel is great if you are shopping in the city centre, plus they offer the left luggage facility which is great when you check out and want to continue shopping for the day. The interior is dated in the rooms and could do with a face lift but is seemed clean and tidy. We were unfortunate enough to be in the room next door to a highly inconsiderate individual who decided to play his music at high volume which led to a disturbed nights sleep, however I contacted the reception desk at 2am and they dealt with it promptly. My only critisism would be that the room we were in was an internal room which meant that it was really hot. So much so that we had to keep the desk fan on throughtout the night to try and keep cool which meant there was the constant noise of the fan.

"Very convenient for business at Manchester Central"
Friendly staff, making one feel at home, especially the bar staff. Breakfast ok but not a great choice. Comfortable room, but soap and shampoo in dispensers attached to the wall.take your own. I was staying on business and had to be at the exhibition centre so asked for an early morning call, this did not happen due to a computer error, so when I woke I had 40 mins. To shower, breakfast and get there. - set your own alarm if you need to be on time!

"Ok hotel but carpark was a good walk away!"
After a long drive, we finally arrived in Manchester and followed the instructions to the car park from the website. As stated the car park is on Tariff Street, but there are also a few smaller ones that had nothing to do with the hotel. Following the road round to the end, obscured by a building is in fact a large multi-storey car park which after an hour, we located. I think it would be helpful if this was made a little clearer. Although we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel itself, the room allocated to us was rather disappointing. Adequate, but a little "sad". A few little things although not major just a tad annoying. Toiletries for one person, only two milks on the compliment tray and we did book a double room. Finally, upon check out, you have to validate your car park ticket to get the discounted rate. So, after hiking all the way back to the car park about 15 mins away, with bags and bags of shopping, put the ticket in the machine only to see that we had to pay the undiscounted rate!! There was no way we were going to trudge all the way back again to get it done. We were charged the full amount which is over 24 hours obviously, which marred our experience of this hotel.

"Excellent location"
Great place to stay for one or two nights. Location is perfect if your on a business trip or shopping or need to go anywhere in the city centre The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Lovely old building with lots of character and very clean throughout. The only problem was the floors were slanted as the building was so old, which meant our room was slanted and it made me feel slightly dizzy. Also the mattress wasn't in great condition. One side of the mattress was slanted and seemed to have lost all of its spring, so my partner and I had to sleep on the same side of the bed otherwise one of us would of had a very uncomfortable night. And the mattress had a few sharp springs sticking out here and there. But all in all, it was excellent value for money. I would stay again, and I would reccomend to a friend for sure.

"Very close to shopping centres, walking distance"
We (three sharing) were on the third floor for three nights. The lift would not go up to that floor so we had to use stairs to 3. This was not repaired during the stay. The room was not as clean as expected. needed a proper hoover. Towels and linen were clean and towels refreshed daily. The beds were great, very comfortable. A great place to stay to see Manchester and to relax. I went with my daughter and Granddaughter for my Granddaughters graduation.
