We’ve probably been spoilt by the modern world where we expect more from this kind of bed and breakfast places. The bread is like cardboard so it was difficult for me to swallow. Bacon quality was not good and was hard and difficult to chew. Hash brown is never my thing — feels like McDonald’s breakfast. Quality of the meat of the sausage was mediocre. So breakfast was only so-so. We were being put on the top floor, which has probably got the best view of the town. Never worked out how to watch the tele. You cannot cast your phone onto the tv to watch Netflix or anything, so you need to go watch a movie at the nearby cinema if you want entertainment at night (as the town sleeps early). Bed was too soft for my liking - whenever my partner moves I can feel it — not the kind of mattress I’m used to. The toilet is super small with a tiny shower — problem is the mould on the tiled wall. I am afraid of touching it when I showered but it’s difficult to avoid it as the shower is only about 3 feet by 3 feet. I don’t think a 200 pound human can easily fit inside. Also the mirror was fixed at my shoulder height so I need to bend down if I need to use it. There was no facial tissues available in the room so if you’re used to using facial tissues you need to bring your own. The ladies who did the cleaning up of the breakfast area looked so unhappy that one feels that they were forced to work there for the money. I would not personally come back to this particular B&B.
