"Staff was excellent- good location. I was on the second floor room 270 near the atrium -so noisy as the bar and other activities could be heard in our room. Our room had no decent lighting, and was minuscule. So dark and not a chair to sit on unless you went to the lobby area. Bathroom was spacious "

"The staff went above and beyond when I arrived and my friend was having a medical emergency. The manager Caitlyn got a wheelchair, got me situated and got aid for my friend. She checked on me the rest of time I was there and her and her team even sent me chocolate covered strawberries to make me feel better! Amazing management team. The staff is top notch and I will never stay anywhere else after seeing how they handled this medical emergency. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Mills House. Centrally located, good service and a lovely patio attached to our room. One significant issue .. the bed pillows were TERRIBLE!! Very uncomfortable. No support. "

"We booked this hotel off of its rating and accolades shown in their site. I do feel, however, that it is VERY overpriced. We were disappointed in this upon arriving to Charleston and seeing what other options we had at much better nightly rates (in fact half the cost) based on when we originally booked the room. I understand it was a busy weekend for the town, but nevertheless we felt it didn't justify the price we paid. I will say, the service was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and...

"Nice, clean, modern. Hotel bar closes pretty early, I think 8:30. The restaurant needs help. The food was good but service was terribly slow and they got our meals wrong because they aren’t staffed enough. I booked a standard room and got accessible but that’s hotels.com’s fault not the hotel itself. "

"We are return guests. We reserved a water view room. We checked in, started to unpack and discovered water pouring out of the ceiling about bath vanity. The A/C handler was located in the ceiling above the bath vanity. We had to change rooms. The room was very nice, but the view was terrible - the backside of the hotel. "

"Lovely room, very comfortable and clean, really nice shower. The AC was loud, as was noise from the road, so request a room further back if you are a light sleeper. The courtyard is lovely and we enjoyed the complimentary cheese and wine in the evening. All the staff we came into contact with were super friendly and helpful. We found the hotel to be in walking distance of everything we wanted to do, with a lot of good places to eat and things to do nearby. Overall I would definitely recommend. "
