"This was a great trip overall, and this property really added to our long weekend experience. I had been to Asheville several times, but I usually stay closer to town and walkable to most downtown areas, so this was a wonderful balance of being able to enjoy the outdoor space while still being able to catch inexpensive Uber/Lyft rides when easier to leave the car parked at the cabin."

"This was a fantastic girls weekend with my girls. A gorgeous cabin right on the river with an amazing deck. We saw eagles, ospreys and an otter swimming by while having coffee on the deck. We also relaxed at the near by hot spring spas for an hour got dinner at one of the local taverns. Tried our hands at fishing while relaxing near the water. Amazing place to relax and unwind. "The Deer Haven Cabin in Candler, NC, was the perfect gateway to Asheville. Located in Pisgah National Forest about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, you have the best of a natural area and urban life within minutes of e/o. The cabin was immaculate, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "Wonderful, clean, relaxing and secluded cabin. This place was perfect for our stay, we felt close to everything but also very secluded when we wanted to relax. We had our young child with us and they provided excellent amenities like a baby gate, portable crib and high chair, that made our trip easy! There was also plenty of room for our family and friends to come gather and share a meal. Loved the porch! We would definitely stay here again!"

Would suggest a few blinds on windows in main living area as homes are close together and did not feel comfortable for privacy purposes. No soap for bathing or dishwashing items where available upon arrival. Just went to store to purchase. Shower stopped working in 2nd bathroom but tub was available. Did not call maintenance for this. Had problems getting temperature comfortable due to high tec thermostat....
