Rooms were decent, yet rooms had odor from rugs.

Pros: Decent rates for rooms & at least they had continental breakfast
Cons: attitude towards natives, we not all drinkers.
Location: Restaurants in walking distance & along bus route. Otherwise need a ride, and don't go out at night, creepy.
A budget hotel, few shady people also staying there.

Cons: tear down hotel and put up a new one
Location: good eating places within walking distant. not the easiest to get in and out of.
poor lighting in rooms, tiny closet with no hangers, nothing to put a suitcase on, maid service varies daily from 8 am to 5 pm and they just take out garbage and straighten bed, no hot water for shower luke warm at best.

Needs leadership

Pros: Price is always a factor,
Cons: Get the drunks off the parking lot?
Location: Ahh there is no location, this is Spenard in Anchorage, hookers, drugs, drunks,
No Wifi, when I called to ask about that they said oh no we have internet here at the desk you should have it too. I explained again there was no wifi, the answer I got was no no we just had it fixed today. Ummm theres a clue..... I was given an 888 number to call. One guy answered, he sent me to another number that rang twenty three times AFTER I decided to count them which was after I realized it had been ringing for quite some time. I hung p and called again, either disconnect or busy. The drunks in the parking lot were interesting to watch.

Pretty good the hotel. Nice and comfort the room. Maybe laundry room should be on 2nd floor instead of 3rd.

Booked a Room, Slept (tried to) at the Airport

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Common sense. Value people more than their software stipulations.
We were traveling literally from the other side of the world with 4 different flights and 2 hotel stays. Somehow in all my travel plans I accidentally booked a room for the night before we arrived in Anchorage. It was after midnight when we arrived at the Anchorage airport and we were jet lagged and very tired. Our final flight would be the next day around noon and we desperately wanted to sleep in a hotel. After we grabbed our luggage I called the hotel for their complimentary shuttle service. Unfortunately there would be no shuttle or hotel room for us. They marked us as a no-show and charged us $75 for the room. I asked if we could stay in a room since we had already paid for one. They said no they can't do that. The only way we could get a room that night was to pay again. So, they got $75 from us for doing absolutely nothing. Perhaps their computer system couldn't make the change but it seems simple enough to give people a room for one night if they have already paid for it. Legally of course they are able to do this, but that does not make it right because it is legal. That is the problem with the world we live in. No one cares if it's right or wrong, just if it's legal, they can get away with it and if it benefits them.
