Nifty Barcelona
I guess I didn’t realize this was a hiatal, but I must say, the service was great! They stayed late to let me in and gave me the key and showed me around. The room was fine, showers had plenty of hot water, kitchen well-stocked, but the toilets were a bit small. The location is good, not far from the main touristy things. Ala in all, it was a good stay.

Nice hotel in good location in Barcelona but...
Everything was that as i expected but one thing is terrible. I need room only for rest after busy day spend on traveling. In the house i found information about hours of silence. It was from 22 to 6. But about 1:00 a.m. girl from reception very loud talking with one of guest. The cnoversation was very happy, girl laughting very loud and she aweked me her voice.. I went to the kitchen and I pointed out that interfere in the middle of the night. She apologized and close the door. In the room i still hear conversation (man picks up the girl and she was in heaven). Sorry, after You awake me i dont sleep all night.

Health Concern
My wife and I were kept up all night as the bed was infected with bed bugs. We were both scratching all night from head to toe and had bites the next morning. I had seen past hotel reviews complaining about the same issue from previous occupants. Further more the owner of the hotel admitted to me twice that he had previously had the health issue in the past in other shared rooms. We asked to get fairly compensated back and the hotel owner rejected our request. On a positive note, the hotel was close to public transportation and the hotel staff were very helpful.

Perfect for soaking up the city
Great location - right next to Passeig de Gracia so close to centre and great shopping but just out of the tourist hub but great atmosphere and area. So pretty and would definitely would go again. I would recommend room 4 (double / private room - although is a small double bed for 2 people) - had a lovely balcony and I loved having the doors open, hearing and watching the city outside and slept brilliantly both nights. Staff leave you to it which is nice and would definitely go back again. Highly recommend - not luxurious but special in it's own way :)

Sleep tight...hope the bed bugs don't bite!
Location is very good. Stayed with my 11 year old as a central stop off to watch Barcelona play. Very noisy by the road side until about 1am but dies off until 6ish. It is a very basic hostel which is fine but (& I know its a risk with hostels)- it was infested with bed bugs.If you stay here- check luggage carefully- ideally wrap in a sealed plastic bin bag or similar or you could find yourself taking the bugs home and this will be an unpleasant and very costly experience to try and get rid of!

nightmare in Barcelona
This is an awful, very dirty, highly unfriendly dump with ancient, dangerous bunk beds (that easily tip over when the occupant of the upper bunk tries to climb down) and dark, cramped rooms where they try to stuff 16 people, contrary to the representations being made on various booking sites! Internet WiFi works only sporadically, as do the locks on the small lockers. It is also a very steep climb on slippery stairs with non-operational lifts (elevators). DO NOT STAY THERE under any circumstances, unless your objective is to fully ruin your holiday in Barcelona!!! Personally, I would have rather slept on a bench in the main train station ...

Brilliant location on Avenida Diagonal, just of Paseo de Gracia. This is the only reason I'd recommend. Very basic facilities, with lots of signs everywhere telling you what not to do ie. "Don't shower for long", "don't use the elevator", etc. that are rather uninviting..

The staff was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Checking in and out was easy. We stayed in the private double which was in good condition but hot since the air conditioner didn't work. Also, note that the double and one of the dormitory faces a busy street which was really loud during our stay. Closing the windows meant no cool air inside so our sleep was hot. The bathrooms and showers were dank. Ok place for 1 night especially if you'll be out and about the whole day. Location was good, lots to see and eat.

Location is very good.
Although I had a bad first night due to other guest noise, cannot sleep, but when they left the following day, I started to enjoy it. Location is very good. Only walking distance to most of the tourist point of interest, church,seaside & shops. It is my first time to try Hostel & I think i don't mind staying again for my next trip

Very nice hostel
Hosto is located in a very nice location. I met a lot of my mates which was amazing. The only negative thing about the hostile is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms so it is very hot. And also the restrooms are very humid and muggy. Other than that it had a kitchen and computer so it was good! I recommend it and would stay again!

Definitely feels like a hostel
This place definitely feels like a hostel and can be a bit much if you are over the age of 18. I had my own room but there was no air conditioning and a window that opened to a cement pipe area of the building. The showers and bathrooms are communal. The bathrooms are so small you basically have to stand on top of the toilet to get the door open and the showers are camping quality at best. The staff is friendly and the other people were nice - I never felt unsafe - but it was more of a hostel experience than I was expecting, so just be prepared. On the plus side, it is in a really great location. You are maybe a two minute walk from the Diagonal Metro station which is on the line that goes directly to Plaza Catalunya (the main plaza where the bus from the airport and many other tours depart from). It is also close to some amazing restaurants.
