"Very comfortable and well equipped cabin. Conveniently located for Golden Circle destinations and beyond. Very responsive host. Communication was excellent. We did not use the 3rd bedroom open loft area but it would be fun for children to have their own space with TVs and headphones. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again at this property."

"The stay was great for a quick stop. We wished the lights on the back porch turned off. It didn’t make for great northern lights viewing. All of the cabins had lights on the porch. They must be controlled by the light outside."

"The house was amazing, the check-in experience was awful. The house is loosely connected to the hotel which manages the check in, but the house is actually family run. The front desk agent was friendly, but had us sit for almost an hour without an update. The restaurant refused to book us stating we weren't part of the hotel, despite the fact that the front desk disagreed. The house made up for it."

"This was a great house for trips to the Golden circle, and one longer drive to Vik. The kitchen was nice and functional, and or two kids liked their room. You can see the mountain and the power plant from the room, we never managed to your the power plant, next time... Checking in and out requires walking or running to the house if you don't have a means of texting in Iceland. This would normally be fine, but it was a rainy and windy day, so it added a bit of discomfort. Not an issue if you can...

"We were extremely happy with our stay in the Hella cottage. It was the perfect location for taking wonderful day trips to the waterfalls, city and glaciers. The hot tub is why we booked and it did not disappoint. All the instructions were clear, and the cottage was well stocked. We were very lucky on the last day and was able to watch the northern lights from the porch. Highly recommended, and if we ever find our way back we will be bookint again."

"Everything was as described in listing. Small but comfortable cabin. Heating worked great, good shower with plenty of hot water. Everything you would need in the kitchen. wifi was ok not the best strength you wouldnt be able to stream on it but t.v was missing anyway. I would recommend."

"An adorable quiet and private cabin with everything needed to live and cook comfortably. Ideally a washer/dryer on site would be preferred (although washing in the sink and drying on the radiator works fine). It’s ideally located for day trips around the golden circle including 2 different thermal soaking pools within 30 minute drives. You can even see the geyser erupt from the deck. The door lock sticks but we eventually figured it out."
