We were in Boston for a couple of days playing a concert at Symphony Hall. We wanted a quieter area than Copley Square that still has great restaurants and not far from work. We found this in the Commonwealth Hotel and Kenmore neighborhood.
From the moment I called on our way in from the airport I knew we were in good hands. I needed an early check in and not only did Ophelia provide this but she instantly upgraded our reservation. *Note to Commonwealth General Manager: she's gold! Don't lose her!!
Anyway, we couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our stay and literally ate our way up and down the street near the hotel.
They were beginning a major lobby and reception area renovation while we were there but it in no way inconvenienced us.
In short, a classy and we'll run hotel with personal attention and care for visitors.
Thanks and we'll be back!

Lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful staff (though American customer service is generally excellent anyway). You can have breakfast in your room but there isn't a specific dining area for breakfast. Two nice restaurants within the hotel and that lovely Lindt shop on the corner! You're in an expensive part of town but there are ample reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance and the red line T stop is a two minute walk. We stayed twice within one holiday breaking in the middle to go to New York. When we checked back in for the second part of our stay at the Lenox there was homemade cookies and milk for us in our room as a welcome back. Lovely gesture. The Flour Bakery is nearby and excellent for breakfast. Overall a great hotel.

Clean, comfortable, nice staff. About 20 mins outside Boston. Easy drive to Boston and more affordable than Boston hotels. Complimentary breakfast was good, just not enough seating, so I brought it up to the room.

This was my first stay in Boston and I was told Seaport was a very new district. However, we were able to walk along the boardwalk all the way to the north and Quincy Market area within 20 minutes. Even though Seaport is very new, there is still a 7 eleven and Dunkin Donuts across the street at the World Trade Center. The gym was amazing; so many machines and probably the only hotel gym I've seen with a squat rack! Public transit was right beside the hotel so South Station was only a short bus ride away you can take the silver line straight from Logan to Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center. I'm so very pleased with the hotel restaurants, service and amenities. I would absolutely recommend.
