We had a wonderful stay so convenient to all of the local history in the town of salem. Staff was very helpful. The only complaint I have is. Our AC did not work. We did say on the 6th floor and did not experience saying anything abnormal would definitely stay there again.

The historic hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. At the beginning, the staff was very helpful and courteous, allowing us to park in their lot early and even giving us an extremely early check-in. However, in the restaurant that evening, our server spent most of her time at the bar facing away from the dining room chatting with another server. Even after several minutes of trying, it was impossible to get her attention without walking up to the bar to ask her for our check. She then brought the check to our table but hurried away back to her spot at the bar facing away before I could even give her my credit card. Once again I had to walk up to the bar to get her attention and pay for our dinner. The next morning, we found that the hair dryer in our room did not work, and in fact was putting out sparks when we turned it on. I went downstairs to request a replacement and was assured that housekeeping would bring one up. 15 minutes later and no response from housekeeping, I called down to the front desk and was told that they would check for me and then they hung up on me. 20 minutes later, still no hair dryer, we decided to check out and took the broken hair dryer down to the front desk. They seemed utterly unconcerned that housekeeping had not brought up a working hair dryer.

Great location, east walk to shops downtown. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Wish I could take home the pillows! The free warm apple cider and coffee was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

The hotel is located in a really convenient area with free parking for guests which is a huge perk. The room was decently clean- there was a gummy bear and chewing tobacco pouch on the floor which we threw away. Aside from that it was clean. The tub was a little difficult to get in and out of. We requested a mini fridge which they said they would send up and it never arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. Staff were pleasant every time we interacted with them.

Absolutely loved the hotel. They were very welcoming and friendly and I appreciate the ability to store my bags with the front desk. They have a beautiful hotel with a lovely tavern and restaurant; location is central to all activities in Salem. I stayed on the 6th floor. There were ghost hunters that called out in the hall for ghosts off and on during my stay- kinda humorous. Added to the sixth floor haunted, historic vibe.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, love the atmosphere, seems like something was going on every night . The room was very clean and well kept. Only issue was if you take a hot shower, be sure to crack the window, it got really humid inside the room, made it hard to sleep. Pillows could be a little harder, but otherwise had a great time.

The hotel is lovely—centrally located, so you can easily walk to museums and restaurants, etc. I appreciate the historic significance and the interior design. The staff is gracious and welcoming. We were there for only one night. There was a wedding there that weekend, so it was crowded and the tavern was booked. Our room was extremely small for one person, let alone the two of us. But it was doable for one night. The thing that concerns me is, the morning we left, the water from our bathroom sink and toilet was brown. Could this be rust from old pipes? Or worse? We have experienced GI issues since our stay. Please address this so it won’t affect future guests.

Arrived at the hotel to be informed checkin would be at 4, the rooms were still not ready by 4.30, we left, had dinner and returned to a smooth check in. After a long travel day and the room still not ready by 4pm was slightly annoying. There was water issues in the city that day, I know this because I overheard, not by information from staff. The floor requested & confirmed via email was not given, but it was no big deal. Location was perfect, staff were helpful, cleanliness of the room was ok, it wasn't great, we aren't fussy people so it didn't overly bother us, but the price of the stay did not reflect the standard expected.

So when we arrived they could not find our reservations. After 2 hrs they did and finally checked us in. They had a flood so our original room was not available. Very old hotel and historic. Staff was good. Restaurants were ehhhh. I would not stay again though.
