Not impressed

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Position Position On the beach in the heart of Palm Cove
Cons: I do not know how it would be possible to fix the problems as they are in design, apart from a huge cost of swapping around, beds into spa room.
Location: Lots of good quality restaurants, wonderful quiet beach over the road, a few nice clothing and gallery shops within a couple of minutes walk.
On arrival a friendly reception. Rooms terrible design. Twin beds are 2 beds BUT pushed together, we did not want to share a double, The spa is in the front room so you do not get to enjoy a view. The shower is also over the spa, very dangerous, and the balcony is so small there is room for one person only and only one chair between, 2 people. We expected to find a microwave and probably a toaster as it was a self contained apartment. Just an electric jug. Sadly this property is not on our list to return to.

Alassio Palm cove

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Hotel is well placed directly across from the beach apartment was well appointed and clean good sized and comfortable bed
Cons: no lift .. needed to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs from car park no laundry service needed to wash the 'one set' of towels in guest laundry
Location: Palm Cove is not far from Cairns, Daintree river, Mosman Gorge, Port Douglas, Cairns tropical zoo, Botanical gardens
Stayed for a week at the end of August 2014 in a 'garden' apartment

Very comfortable close to all facilities,.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: . Very comfortable.
Cons: As there were 4 of us and only a 2 seater lounge, wasnt practical. Could have done with another lounge.
Location: Position was great close to all eateries and beach.
Hired a car and did some day trips to Kuranda, Mareeba. and Daintree where we saw crocodiles and wild life. Had a great view from beachfront unit. Lots of eating places, good food and good prices. Had a great time.Would recommend Palm Cove to anyone wanting a holiday that has just about everything.

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Friendly Staff, Pool, Spas in room.
Location: Hotel across the road to beach. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets, spa centres were all closeby
Hotel ideally situated near beach. Staff were friendly & helpful. As we we had a late flight, we were able to leave suitcases & use room till late in afternoon at no extra cost. Would stay there again.

Lovely room, staff and right across from the beach

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Everything. Location, condition, space and clean.
Location: Being 30 minutes drive from Cairns, it is a very good staging area to rainforest and reef.
From the time we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely Linda. We arrived about 2 hours early and it wasn't a problem. When we got to the room Kelvin was very helpful with showing how the spa worked. The room overlooked the pool and we had views of the beach, even though it was marketed as a garden view room. The whole complex was modern, clean and very appealing to families and individuals. The self contained facilities were exceptional, with enough cooking utensils, appliances and settings to cater for our family of four and more. The main unit was very spacious and the studio apartment used by our kids made it useful to allow us to each have space to ourselves.

Perfect location!!!

Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Nothing to dislike
Location: Visit The Great Barrier Reef, Day trip to the Daintree, take at trip on the sky rail to Kaundra, hire a car and take a drive to Port Douglas......
My husband & I stayed for 8 nights and had the most relaxing time. Perfect location, close to cafes, restaurants & just a short stroll across to the beach. Bruce & Judy the caretaker managers were more than helpful. I would highly recommend Alassio for couples or families or even for those that just need to chill out like my husband & I.

Top Location

Disappointed with the service.Stayed for 2 weeks. 4tea bags and sugars on arrival. Linen changed after 9 days which is far too long. No extra soaps, tea bags sugar etc. Extra towels cost extra and to use the security safe was an extra $3 a day. Paid top rates for the room and thought this was very poor.Would NOT return.

Feedback - good but service could be better

Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Position - on the beach
Cons: Didnt refresh the room.
Location: Great
Great position but our room was noisy - overlooking the restaurant next door and the waterfall over the pool. We stayed 5 nights but there was no room service and as we were out and about during the day there was no access to desk staff who were there between 9 and 5 (but not when we arrived) to request things like a few more tea bags and milk. Would have been nice to just be given clean towels on 3rd day. Service anywhere is not what it used to be so I guess this came as no great surprise.
