Wonderful deluge showerPosted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: The comfortable bed with lovely linen & the breakfasts.
Cons: Wifi psignal in the rooms & more sockets or adapters.
Location: Close to town with its many restaurants & historical buildings.
Our room & bathroom (bath& shower) were very clean & well maintained although we could have done with more electric sockets to plug our chargers into.mwifi was not good in the room but excellent in the lounge area. Breakfast was varied with daily specials served by two lovely ladies. The Appletree is in a safe area with security guards patrolling during the evening & night. There is plentiful secure parking at the property. We did not use the swimming pool but it looked very inviting.

Highly recommend! Very welcoming and accommodating to guests from the U.S. - such a lovely place to stay while visiting the winelands of South Africa. Price was very reasonable. Thank you!

This guest house is superb.Posted Dec 5, 2013
Cons: I really cannot think of anything.
Location: 15 minute walk to town centre through "local" are is fun but I would not recommend it in darkness
he friendly owners and staff pay great attention to helpful details - to very helpful local and event advice to the fly spray in the room!

The Perfect Guest HousePosted Mar 2, 2013
Pros: Everything has been thought about by the owners.
Cons: Nothing at all
Location: 10 minutes from the old town. We walked during the day but used a taxi at night.
As far as Guest Houses are concerned this must be as good as it gets. We have no negative comments at all Noeline was the perfect host. This is an ideal place to tour the region from and it is only 30 minutes from Cape Town Airport and 20 minutes from Franschhoek. We would return if visiting the area again.

Friendly and courteousPosted Dec 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Lovely expereience, made to feel welcome and at home. Both Noeline and Michale are gracious hosts. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was having our room next to the front desk. We didn't have a vehicle and walked to the campus - about 15 minutes for us and we did it duirng the day and at night. While we were okay and generally felt safe, this hotel is probably better if one has a vehicle. It is not as convenient as places closer to campus. Overall though we have no hesitation in recommeding Apple Tree Guest House.

Spectacular Stellenbosch StayPosted Mar 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
We had a wonderful time staying at The Apppletree Guesthouse where nothing was too much trouble. Michael and his mum were great hosts and made us feel right at home. Everytime we asked a question or sought advice the answer was always forthcoming, after diligent research. Every recommendation that was made was wonderful. It made our stay personal and much more interesting. Even restaurant bookings were arranged for us. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Even the tea and coffee appeared without us asking, just the way we liked it. And to top it all off even our car was washed.

Apple Tree Guest House, Stellenbosch - Jan 2012Posted Jan 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
Nice little guest house, with lovely pool. Decent room, and secure parking. The B&B was a little further out from the town centre than we had realised - about a 15 min walk and not brilliantly lit, which was slightly disconcerting although we did not experience any hassle with the "locals". The service was friendly enough; would recommend Apple Tree Guesthouse to others - although to be honest Franshoek. Robertson and Montagu are nicer places than Stellenbosch to base your stay in the Winelands from

A Pleasant Guest House with wonderful staffPosted Dec 30, 2011
Pros: The assistance of the staff
Cons: there was a paucity of drawers for unpacking
Location: Right off a main road but in a quiet neighborhood
The most outstanding aspect of the Guest House was the helpfulness of the owner. She gave us wonderful tips about touring and restaurants in and around Stellenbosch. The rooms are small but adequate and there is a small pool available for guests. It is also very convenient to main roads, which makes it easy to explore the surrounding area.
