"My husband and I stayed with our two dogs and regretted not staying two weeks! The home was very cozy. We stayed in the king bedroom and the bed was so comfortable (this is always important to us because my husband has back issues). The weather was in the low 60s the first few days but we didn’t mind because the pool was heated and so amazing to swim in and the hot tub was perfect! The walk to the beach was short so that was good! We got a pass to drive on the 4x4 beach with our Bronco and saw the wild horses and relaxed watching the ocean. Overall our stay was amazing!"

"This was a very family friendly, pet friendly option. We were able to go to the beach and also relax at the Inn with the Pier right at our Inn. The newly renovated Olympic size pool at a close to walk/drive facility was also a plus. You get wrist bands to go there with the purchase of the rooms. We would definitely go back. "

"My wife and i just celebrated another anniversary in Carova Beach at this beautiful home. The home is in immaculate condition and has all the necessities for a great holiday. The beach is also clean and is perfect for sunning, walking, sandcastles, fishing. You absolutely need 4x4 to get there and that is another experience you will remember. The hot tub and grill, also very clean, and we're used each day. I didn't bring my kayak, but will next time. Lastly, the wild ponies are very cool. No need to go on the pony tours as they are everywhere. Every morning they would stroll by as we were having coffee on the top balcony. You can walk or drive around the village for many more photo ops. Evan, the host responds immediately if needed. Thank You Evan."

"We loved the house. It's an old property, but very comfortable. It was a lot of house for two people, but it was one of those things. Who did we want to spend a week with. Turned out to be no one. And that was just fine. I have been under a lot of stress since December and this was exactly what I needed. It take a bit to figure out the switches and thermostats, etc. But its just a cool comfortable house. I want to go back next year."

"Great stay and even better views. Saw horses daily. Nothing but love for this place. The only recommendation I would make is to install blinds/shades on the top level in case of nudist activity or afternoon TV glare. Exceptional though. Hot tub is awesome, too."

"We are seasoned VRBO vacationers. This home was the cleanest that we have ever stayed in. The house was in perfect condition. No wobbley tables, broken drawers, rusty beach chairs, etc. The owner genuinely seems to want you to enjoy his property and your vacation. He helped us with some transportation issues that we had and saved us an entire day of travel. As for the location, we have never been to the Outer Banks or a 4X4 beach. We drive a regular SUV and had no trouble figuring out the air in the tires and navigating the sand. We saw horses everyday. This beach has beautiful white sand and the water is clear. It really isn't as remote as one of the other comments suggested. It is maybe a bit of a hassle to deflate and air you tires, but there are plenty of places to put air in your tires for free. We made a list and grocery shopped once and went in for a meal and shopping on another afternoon. If you have any hesitations about booking this location, I highly recommend staying here. This was one of the best vacation weeks that we have had."
