"We are a family of four - two adults and two children - plus the dog, and chose this cottage based on location and prior reviews. We stayed two weeks and it was great, were delighted to have a spacious kitchen/dining area and separate living room (this wasn't obvious from the pictures) as well as the courtyard at the back. The kitchen had everything we needed too. It is worth noting that the single bedroom is quite small but overall the cottage suited our needs perfectly. Chulmleigh village...

"It is central to Chumley, pleasant staff, good ale. Cold at night, (limited heating and poor insulation) very noisy on a Saturday until the the late hours. (entertainment area right outside bedroom) Food was very poor. No staff available outside of opening hours. (Had to leave without finalising food bill as no staff available).
