"We initially booked five nights and decided to extend another six nights. In addition to being convenient to Zocalo where all hop-on buses start out each day as well as a number museums are located, we liked the neighborhood and the number of dining (two great restaurants in the hotel) and shopping options including several department stores and five drug stores. The service was exceptional including front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping team. Very special mention to Edgar, the concierge,...

"Hotel Templo Mayor is a cute little place to stay when in in Mexico City it was easy to walk around and very very close to all the good food and zocalo y all of historic center. All I would add is that there is no AC but luckily at night it cools off. Staff was extremely friendly and sweet. Rooms were nicely cleaned and overall very quiet and cute hotel. Keep it going, I recommend it! "

"It's OK if you don't intend to sleep or if you're not planning on getting up early. The noise is unbearable like no other hostel in the planet. All hostels have some common area or bar, but these guys have a disco on the roof, and the building has a central shaft that siphons all the noise from the 5th floor to the 1st (where I was staying) where it booms and thumps all night until 1am, so for our 5am wake up time for our tours it was a complete deal breaker, I was looking for another place to...

"A lovely old hotel gem. The location is perfect for walking around a historic part of the city. It’s well kept with old marble and wood everywhere. Like any old hotel it’s got a cool funkiness with occasional odd spaces in the closet, for example. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. Our balcony overlooked a plaza with big historic buildings and art installations. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more. I will stay there again. "
