"Fine hotel friendly staff clean comfortable rooms"
Stayed for 1 week and would definatly stay there again should I go back to Budapest. The staff were friendly and could not have been more helpful. The rooms were spotless with really comfortable beds.On arrival we received a free welcome glass of wine and complimentary champagne each breakfast. The breakfast was substantial with an excellent choice of hot and cold food. There was free wifi which was fast and reliable . Really couldn't fault this hotel and would have no hesitation booking there again.

Was a bit put off before coming here owing to some negative reviews, but the hotel is worthy of a 4/5 review and I'd use the hotel again.
Location - near metro station on line M2 and also near the 1/1A tram line, which is a useful routing as it connects up northern and southern areas of the city, handy if wanting to visit Szentendre (connects at Szentelek Ter) and also Nepiglet for line M3. A few people have concerns about the area, I've none. Walked round here at all hours of the day and it's fine. A couple of convenience stores are also open late, so always a few people around for example.
Hotel is fine. Lap of luxury its not, but reasonable it is. So for the good - rooms are comfortable enough and were clean and tidy. Same with the common areas of the hotel. e.g. reception.
Bad bits: comments about the plumbing in some reviews. It does need work, but it never caused any inconvenience. Traffic noise is something to think about, but this is true of any hotel in any city. However, floor 7 was fine and offered a great view over the city. Higher the floor, less noise.
Never ate in the hotel & unless it's included in your room rate, its 9 Euros a head extra. A bit steep, although many hotels do charge more. A few places nearby do sell pastries and coffee though. As a point to note: the hotel does provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but no tea/coffee, which is a bit odd, however brought tea/coffee and milk locally. Minibar fridge also keeps the milk cool.

Staff excellent with very good English. Hotel clearly recently upgraded. Rooms good but we upgraded to superior before arrival and not sure if that was value for money as coffee machine only had two cups per day and would have preferred basic tea bags to be on offer. The fridge had no ice facility. The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows very poor with only one extra for a double room. The A/C did not seem as cool as it indicated. One tiny piece of soap for 2 people for 4 days seemed totally inadequate as did shower gels etc.

Booked on the basis of very positive reviews. Our experiences confirm them. Staff were very helpful. A nice touch was the Manager visited tables at breakfast to check we were happy and had no issues.
Location is quite good, walking distance of the city centre. Metro station close by. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, including a Michelin star establishment in a side street about 10 minutes walk away.

The hotel was great and well worth returning.it was better than being at home. The only down side was trying to find your way into the apartments when you first arrive. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. Great overall experience.

I arrived while breakfast was still being served after having been traveling for 14 hours. The concierge (I wish I'd gotten his name) invited me to have breakfast, since I would be leaving at 5 am, before breakfast would be served in the morning. My room was ready. I was able to clean up, have something to eat, and sleep well before resuming my travels. Perfect experience.
Room was a bit small but well laid out. Totally fine for 1 person, would not have wanted to have to share. AC worked only with the window closed, and didn't work that well. It was fine, it was cool enough out I just opened the window at night. (I slept through the rest of the day!)

Jozsefvaros is a predominantly residential area which grew as an inner suburb of Budapest in the 18th and 19th centuries, and retains much of its fine old architecture. Home to several university buildings, plus the National Museum and the Natural History Museum, it has a lively student scene, with plenty of fashionable cafes and bistros, and is currently undergoing rapid gentrification. Every May, the National Museum holds a weekend festival featuring live performances, short film screenings, and folk art displays.
