OK hotel, but not as nice as I thought

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location, price, cleanliness
Cons: The windows look right on the walk, so I had to keep my drapes closed the entire time or be viewed the whole time. The WiFi was really bad
Location: West side of Lancaster - close to Franklin and Marshall University, Wheatland, 7 miles from Dutch Wonderland, 40 miles from Hershey
I've stayed here before and had good things to say, but I am slowly changing my mind. I had trouble with WiFi, and the staff told me that it was my computer, even though I don't have any problems any other place and constantly had problems there. The towels were dirty and the AC didn't work well. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, the bedsheets were clean, and the room itself was clean. It was quiet, except for a drunk guy who was banging on my door at 6:15 one morning.

Not Good

Posted Aug 1, 2014
The room had broken windows and burns on bed cover in an non smoking room. Ask for a diff room and was told there was none. Went some place down the road and found a good place. After returning home I have made contact and the story has changed 3 times from we would tried to give you a better room to you put your bags in the room and went some place, We talked to a man and on the phone a woman said she talked to us. Even with your people trying to help we got no where so with that we are out of pocket money of 150.00 and I will not go back and I will tell all friends not to go there this place is not good or nice. As I am trying to be nice. Thanks For the Crap

Close to Lancaster.

Old door locks. Did not feel secure. Reserved online. Told them I had a puppy with me and her crate. They didn't even read the comments in the special requests section, then overcharged me the pet fee. Online it said $10 per day, and they charged me $15. They had a grassy area in the back for pets, but it was overgrown and not mowed. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Very cramped, though.

Decent rooms in average location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Comfortable and quiet considering the road it is located on
Cons: Really just location
Location: Franklin and Marshall College, Spooky Nook Sports
The hotel was somewhat drab from the outside, however the inside was pleasantly surprising. Flat screen TV in my room (108) with a King bed at an affordable price.

scary too many street people

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: that it had a refrigerator and a micro.
Cons: new towels
Location: outlet are close, the Amish house, and an amusement park.
The towels were so nasty it looks like they don't use detergent to wash them. The whole room smell bad.

Typical 2 star hotel

Posted Jul 7, 2014
It was what you'd expect for the price. Room was clean overall but not fresh. No one was there for check out just a bucket to drop your key in which was concerning as anyone could take a room key if they wished.

Pool Tournament Weekend

Posted Jun 26, 2014
My family had to go to Lancaster for a pool tournament at the Lancaster Host. having stayed at the host before It is sad to say, that with them costing double a night what this hotel cost , the host is not as nice staff sucks, isnt maintained well enough for the price. The Americas Best we stayed at suprised us. Price was great. Not all staff can speak english, but is clean and well kept. Beds are comfortable and it was like staying at a four star hotel with exepction of no breakfast and crappy coffee and only one coff.Pot that is in the office. Put some flowers around and shampoo the carpets and get a kerig or expresso mach. And a mini coffee pot for each room...serve donuts or pastries and u have it made it would be perfect and would boost profit... Will stay here next June as well!
