Budget Motel that is OK

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms Microwave, fridge in each room Price
Cons: More outlets Better WiFi Soundproof the rooms Better hot water heater
Location: Dutch Wonderland - 1/2 mile Amish farm country - 5 miles Outlet malls - 1-2 miles Ephrata Cloister - 20 miles
This is an OK budget motel - nothing special, but nothing really bad, either. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The TV and stations are modern and good (nice LCD large screen). Each room has a refrigerator, a microwave, and a clock radio. The WiFi is really hit and miss - it was miss for the week I was there. I couldn't get a consistent and reliable signal. The bath fixtures are outdated and need to be refurbished and the water needed to run for a few minutes to get hot. The noise from close by hiway 30 gets pretty loud, otherwise the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The staff is friendly and helpful, but a little aloof. It's one of those places that isn't luxury, but the prices are the best in town.

Convenient location

Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: It was quiet and the bed was good.
Cons: The whole place needs to be redecorated.
Location: Location is central. Lots to do nearby.
Good points - the bed was firm and supportive. Bad points - The facilities are old and give the appearance of being dirty due to their age. The hot water was lukewarm. The continental breakfast had stale donuts. The juice was watered down, the coffee bland. There was no butter or peanut butter, just a few packets of jelly. The bagels were good, but there was only 1 open container of Chipoltle Cream cheese that others had used before me - no individual packets. But there were 3 kinds of fruit!

Crappy

Posted Nov 9, 2014
The room is small and so is the bathroom. The room was so dirty and sticky that I had to clean it and had to buy my own sheets and the tv is a old fashion tv on the third floor while the first floor had all flat screen yes. When I ask the front desk if I could get one they say they don't have that type of tv

OK Hotel for the Price

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Clean room OK WiFi Good TV / stations
Cons: Noise from hiway 30 Bathroom fixtures
Location: Dutch Wonderland - 1/2 mile Outlet malls - 1 or 2 miles Amish farm country - 5 miles Strasburg railway - 10 miles
The Knights Inn Lancaster is a nice budget motel. It has in-room microwave and mini-fridge, but no coffee maker or iron/ironing board. The TV was modern and large with a good array of channels. The noise from highway 30 was kind of bothersome - I had to keep windows closed despite some great weather. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did a good job. The bathroom was slightly out of date with some fixtures that need repair to work correctly. Overall, OK for the money

Pros: It is smaller and was within walking distance to everyhting.
Cons: Office hours and better up-keep.
It was not the worst, but also not NEAR the best. The quality of the room was below satisfactory, needing structural repairs and replacements. Upgraded television and decent appliances were nice. Room cleanliness was in need of improvement.

Nice Budget Motel

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Beds - comfortable and clean WiFi - good signal Rates - inexpensive
Cons: More outlets in the room, more conviently placed for appliances Coffee makers i the rooms
Location: Dutch Wonderland, Amish country, Strasburg town and railroad, outlet malls
This is a nice budget motel. The rooms are clean, the beds are new and comfortable, and the WIFI usually works. There are refrigerators and microwaves in each room, which is nice, but no coffee makers. The bathroom could use a little work - old fixtures that you have to hold just right to get hot water from and the automatic fan in the bathroom kept coming on at seemingly random intervals throughout the night. The staff is a little aloof, but friendly enough and responsive to any questions or problems. For the money, it has everything you can ask - bed, TV, shower, AC, WiFi.

Still a nice motel

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, enough space, location
Cons: TV (Comcast) kept shutting off and missing 1/2 the channels. Bathroom very old. Not enough outlets in the room for appliances and chargers
Location: Close to Dutch Wonderland, Outlet Malls, Amish Village, Amish country (10 miles), Strasburg railway (12 miles),
This is an OK place to stay. Good room amenities, like fridge, microwave, radio. Bathroom fixtures are outdated, not enough outlets in the room for lights, appliances, and chargers. Efficient staff, a little aloof, but polite and good at their jobs. For the money, the best buy in Lancaster.

Nice budget motel

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Good WiFi, clean rooms, microwave and radio in each room.
Cons: Outdated bathroom fixtures (that don't always work right), noisy road, not enough accessible outlets
Location: Dutch Wonderland park 1/2 mile away; outlet shops within 2 miles, Amish farming country within 10 miles, Rumspringa brewery and New Hope winery 7 mile
This is an OK place to stay for the budget traveler. Not many amenities, but the rooms are clean, the WiFi works, and there are good TV stations and the microwave and radio in the rooms work. Rt 30 is a little close by, so that gets noisy, but otherwise it is a comfortable stay. Some of the room fixtures need some updating, but for the price, it's a good place to stay.
