Nice hotel; walking distance to everything

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Walking distance to everything.
Everything about the hotel was good, except breakfast. It was not the best breakfast considering the cost for the hotel room. Bathroom was small.

for two hundred plus per night

Irate time using the toilet sent us running for a plunger. Room was too humid to be comfortable. Pool needs update with actual sun screens. Breakfast was good, but suffered from lack of seating. Great unadvertised deck up top

Bed bugs and yuk

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: good location
Cons: A better maintenance crew.
Stink bugs IN my bed? Really??? yes, two of them. Not really sure they were stink bugs or what. Either way that was unacceptable. But the worse thing is the bathroom. The toilet to be exact. would not flush. The water and contents just swirled around the pot. Then it took forever to fill the tank back up for another try. I took the lid off of the tank and noticed the float was adjusted too low. The tank would only fill half way. I was able to twist the plastic screw with my fingers to adjust it to fill up better, but it still took forever to re-fill. The clerk offered no help, discount or sympathy. They just didn't care. Never stay there again.

Clean Room

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Room cleanliness. Exterior appearance.
Cons: Air conditioning (at least in our room 108).
Location: Moab is awesome! Great restaurants and an outdoor enthusiast's playground.
Our front desk clerk need a refresher course in customer service. Air conditioning in our room not adequate to handle room size; hot night! The Szechuan restaurant next door needs to empty their trash more often, the rotting fish smell was filling the whole parking lot. The complimentary breakfast was sub par. Overall this hotel is expensive for its quality/service but that's the case with most hotels in Moab.

RUDE and terrible experience

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Not a thing!
Cons: Everything needs improvement from customer service, cleanliness and being on task, fresh gym/pool towels, clean bathrooms, etc.. It was disgusting!
Location: We went to Arches Park and hiked at the Corona Arch.
My first encounter at the hotel was with the man behind the desk when I was trying to check in. He never even said hello, just "check-in isn't until 4:00"!! I said OK and we came back at 3:40. A gal this time, again never said hello, just, "Check-in isn't until 4:00"! I said I was aware but was hoping 20 minutes early would be OK. We got checked in. The room, especially the bathroom, was filthy!!!! There were long, black hairs all over the floor and the tub! Gross!! There were two large, dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom. The toilet ran non-stop. The next morning I went to the work-out room and my key wouldn't work. So I went to the front desk to get help and there was no one there, just a sign that said "be back soon"! What?????? This is a place of business! I waited about 10 minutes when the same, rude man from the day before showed up. He told me to try the back door of the pool area. Annoying the main door didn't work, but whatever. I got in the work-out room and there were NO towels!! Seriously? It's 7:00 am so obviously the room was not cleaned or stocked from the day before. This was the worst service/experience I've ever had at a Best Western. And for almost $250/night, you'd think you'd get better service!! I'll never recommend or stay at this hotel again. Both those front desk people have no business dealing with the public. They were beyond rude and very unpleasant.

Nothing special

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location - on the main street in Moab in the center of town
Cons: Room needed painting or touch-up, old thin towels.
Location: Short drive to Arches and Canyonlands NP.
We stayed 2 nights during our summer road trip. Our room was downstairs in a corner, fairly loud and dark. The room was clean but needed some upkeep - patched walls that needed painting and it smelled like the previous guests had been smokers YUCK. It is in a great location in the center of town. Free breakfast was adequate and met our needs. More money than it was worth at $189/night
