Great stay but color and Eminence is odd

Posted Dec 31, 2013
Cons: They should put some new colors in the hotel entrance, lobby and dining which matches the nearby ocean. After all the color and Eminence is odd.

Pros: Location, comfortable bed, in-room microwave and frig, wonderful staff.
Cons: The stairwells need something to reduce the amount of echo.
The hotel is close to the core of Seaside but the few blocks distance keep the traffic noise to a minimum. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and conveniently located. With that being said, both nights I had to talk to other guests about their noise level. If you are there with your family I am sure it's fine. I'm not saying it's a party place... just that the noise level (as well as its lateness) is irritating.

Awesome place for and great price!

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: I like the hotel for the friendly knowledgable staff. When I had question they helped me to piont me in the right direction.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The location great because you can all to the beach and down to the boardwalk to the shops and the museum.
I love this hotel and resort. The staff are very nice and the rooms are clean. We have a room right off the ocean with a view. Both times we stayed it was great. We will be back next year.

Tiny room, pricey and food below par

Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Near the beach and has a pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: One floor only for dog people. Take down some walls and provide some room.
Location: Not much for couples, except walks on the beach, eating at Norma's, outlet stores and gift shops, but plenty for people with kids.
We could hardly co-exist as a couple in our tiny room, and it wasn't inexpensive! Expensive food for the quality and quantity. Noisy dog next door. Wish we had gone for one of the homey, lower-priced motels or hotels here.

Overpriced closet-no soundproofing

Posted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Turn the 4 rms back into 2 normal sized ones.
Location: Near beach and conv ctr and downtown.
I was at a convention and wd arrive at hotel at 12AM and since there was no soundproofing courteously cd not use TV to wind down so i read and wd fall asleep by 1AM to be woken everymorning by kids next door at 7AM. I was unable to chg rooms altho was put off and told later on weekend. That did not happen. No rm service on 2 of 6days I stayed and my coffee maker did not work and they did not have another available. It was clean when cleaned and newly redecorated. Probably done when they turned a normal size rm into 2 tiny rooms with the extra bath.

ocean break

Posted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: we were very comfortable, and our dog was welcomed
Cons: The price was too high for what was offered. Comparable hotels were cheaper.
Location: Drove down the Oregon Coast, and stayed in and enjoyed the ocean
One day of sun. 3 days of storm - perfect. I've never seen an electrical storm on the ocean before and I was raised on the ocean.

Room Very Small

Posted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Beach access and walking distance to downtown
Cons: guest services all guest should be treated the same, do away with the cracker box rooms very disappointing.
Location: Norma's Restruant was awesome great service and if you mention you are staying at the local hotel and they recommended Norma's they take 10 precent of
The Room was very small. Front desk not informative had to ask where to best park and best way to get to our room and best way to get to the beach we were told to drive 2 blocks only to discover all we had to do is walk out the back door. Wa given a 15 precent off coupon on breakfast but was told by the waitress the coupon was only good for lunch or dinner?

No Ocean View

Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: It was clean.
Location: Lots of things to do a few blocks away on the Promanade.
Looks like if you don't request an ocean view room you do not get one. Our room did not have a view. It was very small and cramped.

Smallest room I have ever seen.

Posted Sep 5, 2013
This was a joke. The room was smaller than most bedrooms and the window looked into the hallway not outside. Not a good experience.
