I arrived after 9pm and the front door was locked. There is a bell I rang at least 3 times, but apparently it does not work. Meanwhile, some guy drugged out of his mind is in the parking lot screaming at cars while I have my wife and kids sitting in the car. I called a couple times and waited on hold and finally got a hold of the receptionist. 15 minutes locked out in the parking lot with a crazy person is not a good start. The front desk lady checked us in quick, but didn't tell us where the room was. It was 2XX something, so I assumed 2nd floor. The elevator does not have a button for floor 2, only 1,3,4,5. Took a while to figure out the lobby was technically on floor 2. The whole check in process was frustrating. To make matters worse, the day of check in the hotel is blowing up my phone with text messages and emails begging for me to pay their housekeeping staff, they wanted money before I even checked in, trashy. Maybe the prearrival stuff should tell you how to check in. The room was comfortable and clean, however we paid quite a bit more for an ocean view. When your on the first floor, the ocean view is a little disappointing. I am in town often for family and I really liked the room and location, but based on how this hotel is run, I won't be back.
