Not bad!Posted Apr 11, 2014
It was a decent hotel for the price that we got. We didn't spend much time at the hotel so it suited our needs. It says 2 blocks to Disneyland but its a farther than that to the gates. Not a terrible walk though. The breakfast brunch was good.

Updating required!!Posted Apr 11, 2014
Positive - close to the parks, on a quick bus route to the parks, comfortable enough bed. Negative - desperate need for upgrading! Carpets are worn, bathtub was creaky, fridge was a cabinet (from the 60's?) and was not clean!, lights hummed and flickered, breakfast left something to be desired, vending machines were difficult to use, double beds were XL Twins, not double. Lucky we weren't spending much time at the hotel. Beds were comfy enough when exhausted, but the string of negatives outweighed things.

nice staffPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: staff, comfortable bed
Cons: updating, elevator needs repairs
Location: Disneyland is 4 blocks away. Right beside Mortons Steakhouse.
Nice Staff but rooms need renovating. The beds were comfortable.

Rooms small for a suite Pull out terrible bed... Springs in back Double beds terrible with no support like sleeping in a hammock Very old with no updates I would never reccomend when I could stay at double. Tree for $75 more .... Just saying.... I made a poor choice

Close enough to walk to DIsneyland but oldPosted Apr 3, 2014
I have stayed at Cortona and a Disney Resort hotel - by far cheaper than any Disney hotel, but probably comparable to Cortona price wise - I'd rather stay at cortona or pay a little more and stay at candy cane inn (which is right next to Disneyland). It was just old - nothing special.

Good location but room unimpressedPosted Apr 3, 2014
The bathroom shower a little old fashion with a noisy timer ticking away the minutes before shutting off. The bathroom needed a new Reno job.

Clean but outdated, worn.Posted Mar 30, 2014
I booked this hotel for a trip to Disneyland. So for what I needed it did the trick. I was rarely there. The rooms were clean, beds firm. The décor was worn and outdated, the unit for heating/cooling my room was old and didn't always work, the face plates in the bathroom for the Kleenex box and timer for the heat light were loose and coming off the wall. There was only one plug-in in the bathroom that you either had to plug in the hair dryer or remove that to plug in a curling iron. There was no vent fan in the bathroom so it gets very steamy and stuffy so you have to shower with the bathroom door open to keep it from getting too bad in there. The pool was good sized and heated but there were broken/cracked table tops that looked bad and could have cut someone by the pool side. It did not give off the look or feel of a well cared for facility. It appears that it was last updated in the eighties. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The fridge and in-room safe were nice to have.

Nice hotel, lovely staff, perfect location.Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, price.
Cons: It's clear this hotel is approaching its renovation date, but nothing is broken or unclean, it's just a little older styled.
Location: 100 metres from the convention centre, walking distance to Disneyland + there's plenty of food and gas stations close for snacks / food.
We stayed at the Clarion for 3 nights on our first ever trip to the US. It was our first stop and having never stepped foot on US soil before everything was extremely new to us (we're Australian). We arrived early due to a 9am landing time in LAX, and went straight to the hotel to sleep off jet lag. Our room wasn't ready, but the staff did everything they could to get us the first available room, so after a nap in the lobby we were in. A previous person staying even left their ART bus passes with the staff and we were given those for free which was amazing. Overall the hotel is definitely a little old and could definitely use a renovation, don't expect a brand new hotel though, and you wont be disappointed. The rooms have all the channels you could want on the TV, the staff were exceptional, the bed was comfortable and the location is amazing, literally a stones throw from the convention centre and a 2 minute bus to Disneyland (10 minute walk if that). For the price we paid, we would stay there every time without a doubt, a lovely experience for our first time in the US.
