Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Wait staff in restaurant were very friendly each morning and service was great.
Cons: Remodel
Location: Disneyland and the Convention Center
My daughter and I stayed at the hotel while visiting Disneyland. The hotel does need some serious updating, refreshing and even some new chairs in the room as both were severely stained. I believe that the hotel would be much better if it was refreshed.

Good Staff, Good Location, Needs Renos

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Staff Location Cleanliness
Cons: Needs renovations.
Location: Close to Disneyland Close to restaurants and CVS Tours for Universal Studios pick up/drop off here Close to Convention Center
Whether or not you enjoy your stay at the Clarion will depend on what you're looking for in a room. If you've got the attitude that "it's just a room - I sleep and shower there", then you will enjoy your stay. If your room is your haven and you need luxurious surrounding, then you won't be impressed. The room was kept very clean and tidy everyday. Housekeeping did a great job. However, the room was in bad need of renovations. The drapes were frayed, the toilet didn't flush properly and the rugs, tiles, etc. were very dated and in need of replacement. Since this hotel is trying to compete with luxury hotels down the street, such as the Hilton and the Marriott, the owners should seriously consider renovating the hotel. I noticed that Expedia had to offer deep discounts for this hotel to attract people to it, which is probably a result of the renovations that are needed. In addition to the renos needed in the room, the hallways need new rug badly and they could use with a painting and some repairs. The condition of the hotel wasn't so bad that someone would need to change hotels, but it isn't a luxury hotel. Actually, it gives the atmosphere of an economy hotel. If someone is looking for a luxury hotel, they will be disappointed. On a more positive note, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt and polite. The location is great if you are going to the theme parks, especially Disneyland, or the convention center.

Good budget hotel

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Hotel was a quick driving distance to Disneyland, right across the Woody parking lot by shuttle. Staff was great. Room was a little dirty for my taste, but liveable. Towels left a lint residue on us. Outlets were few and loose for my chargers (husband's Apple chargers were fine). Carpet had some darker spots - not sure what is was. Parking is an extra cost ($14/day). Overall, hotel definitely needs an update - an older hotel but it was fine for the price that was paid on Expedia. Might wanna spend a little more next time for a nicer one.

Decent hotel for a night stay but thats it.

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Check in was slow and I was ignored by the front staff. I did let them know that I had been waiting in line and had just driven in traffic for 4 hours so I was anxious to get in our room. Stayed for a night with my daughter but the noise level was so bad we couldnt sleep. The air conditioner in the room was super loud! Not sure if there was a machine above our room but it was loud also. It was right in front of the convention center though!

broken toilet/ loud light/ no tv remote

Posted Jun 24, 2015
I went to this hotel expecting a four star hotel as they advertise and that is not what I got. what I got was a very old hotel that was not great. I first got to the front desk and the lady couldn't even get the computer to work. after all of that my tired partner and I got up to the room and the toilet was completely broken…so we had to go back down and switch rooms. when we got to the new room and turned on the light it made this loud flickering noice so we couldn't even keep that light on. then when we wanted to watch tv there was not even a remote at that point I was so disappointed with the experience I just went to sleep.

Great location

Overall stay was good. Only issue was I booked room and it stated sleeps 6 but the sofa bed does not fit 2 people and they were 13 and 15 years old, so they weren't even adult sized. The hotel was out of rolling beds also so my son had to sleep on the sofa cushions on the floor.
