"Loved it"

"No TV, no in room coffee maker, no fridge. Well used rooms with a bit of a musty smell. Probably time for new carpet or at least for Embers, but it was a nice, quiet area and it served the purpose. A place to sleep for the night. The staff that checked us in was super friendly and there was a cafe where you can get a cup of coffee."

"I love the open air style of Casa Munras. Walking out of the room into gardens with the seagulls and sunshine is my style. So much better than a big hotel on the water where you cannot gain access to the water, or the sun, smells and nature that make Monterey great. "

"I booked my room for 10 nights many months prior to my visit then I read some reviews... After reading the reviews I became aware that if I was not checking in when the office was open there was a "lock box" for my key and the reviewer commented about how difficult her key retrieval was. Glad I read that review because at first my arrival would have been during office hours but while at the airport realized I would be getting there maybe even after midnight the next day, so I called. Olga was very patient with this old lady and explained the my room was prepaid so it did not matter what time I arrived and that she would send me a detailed text explaining how to get my room key from the lock box and also told me how to locate my room. Worked like a charm. Another review I read complained about the room not having a microwave so I thought my room would not have one. I should have asked Olga, my room did have a microwave and a fridge and a coffee machine with coffee to boot. I just needed a bed, a bathroom and a shower and PEACE. I was given more. They respected "the do not disturb" sign as well as the "you can clean my room" sign and I found awesome PEACE at the beaches of Pacific Grove."
