Independent Pismo Beach hotels in San Luis Obispo, California

We stayed in Pismo Lighthouse Suites for only one night on our travels from San Francisco to LA. The facilities are excellent. Our room overlooked the ocean, and we used all of the extra's - pool/hot tub, work out facility, and ping pong/badminton. We had a great time.

I have been staying at the Seacrest for over 40 years since I was young. It is one of my favorite places to visit. Over the years I've seen many upgrades to the facility and it keeps getting more beautiful and more comfortable every time I'm there. I've been there for not only a romantic weekend but also with a large group. We've celebrated many occasions there and the barbeque area is perfect for these celebrations. I look forward to many more visits.

Lovely architecture and beautiful location combine for a very pleasant getaway. Enjoyed the fireplace in the room. Some freeway noise and not enough self parking, although I found out later that the valet parking was free. Beach access was a nice plus. Wish I could have stayed longer.

It's not just some highway motel--the rooms have been modernized with all the furniture and carpeting being new. They have a nice flat screen TV and HBO! There is also a nice grassy picnic area with benches. Best of all, it is walking distance from the dining/shopping area. I wouldn't depend on the breakfast too much--just some cereal and pastries, but the in-room coffee and free coffee at the office during breakfast hours were satisfying. Also, free Wi-Fi and a table with chairs in the room for those who want to eat in or set up a laptop.

This hotel is a great find in the Pismo Beach area - what a steal of a deal! It is literally steps from the ocean. The rooms are very clean and nice, with a flat screen tv, microwave, and fridge! The staff are also very pleasant - no complaints. In the morning, there is free coffee, tea, fresh/moist muffins, and fruit (oranges, apples, etc). It's not 5-star luxury but, this place is beyond worth it for the price. I would stay here again!

Great rooms..close to beach & shops..rooms were spacey.. great customer service.

It's tiny but you spend most of your time at the beach, the location is just convient.
