"A convenient and affordable Pacific Highway stop, if slightly off the beaten track. The place is fine but we did feel it was perhaps a little over-marketed in the listing. The “futon” was more of a sofa (I did manage to sleep on it after requesting extra bedding), “free breakfast” was two pods for the coffee machine, pizza was not available after 6pm and if there was a beach we didn’t find it (at least 4 miles away). "The rooms are spacious, clean and modern, with great views of the Pacific. The grounds are very inviting, with a quiet pool area, as well as paths and plenty of Adirtondack chairs from which to take in the dramatic view of the coast. I'd definitely stay here again."

"We are very disappointed in the changes to Happy Hour and to the Breakfast. I feel that if you charge a resort fee that should defray the cost of happy hour. We were super disappointed in the option of 1 beer out of 3 offered. The beer was mediocre at best. The poker chip system for happy hour is also flawed. We have been coming to this property for the past 6 years. We may need to find a new place to stay as the amenities are not a perk like they used to be. Please bring back the free 2 hour happy hour. Also, there should be hot coffee available during breakfast until 9:30am. We walked in to grab a coffee at 9::20am. Staff was shutting down the coffee. I am a frequent guest and am very sad at the changes."
