nice hotel near I- 80 freeway

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: price and continental breakfast
Cons: better furniture
Location: South Salt Lake City , Utah. Was there on business only.
Building was clean with some what outdated furniture . The bed was comfortable, but like most hotel I have stayed in did not care for the pillows. Was surprised there was no traffic noise heard in the rooms as the hotel sits at a pretty busy intersection.

Nice hotel conveniently located

Posted Oct 14, 2014
This was a nice place close to both I-80 & I-15. Staff was great & the rooms nice. They were renovating so it was a bit dusty on the second floor but it was still really nice.

Great Staff Makes Up for an Okay Hotel

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff. Friendly, nice, and helpful.
Cons: Despite the location, rooms need to be upgraded.
Location: Rough location. Although it's a straight shot into downtown Salt Lake, the area around it isn't very nice or close to anything to see.
This hotel is not close to anything, however, they do have shuttles that takes you to downtown Salt Lake which is about 3 miles away. It's older and not in the best of shape. The rooms are outdated, but clean. The breakfast is typical with coffee, cereal, waffle maker, and some yogurt. They do have an indoor pool which is nice, except it's heated and during the summer not super useful. The hotel staff is really nice, helpful, and great. The entire staff is makes up for an average facility.

Good Nights Rest

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Easy to check in and out. Tasty continental breakfast, comparable to most other continental breakfasts.
Cons: The Toilet button
Location: Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. On state street so very easy to get to downtown SLC from its location, also very close to highway access.
The room I stayed in was a standard single queen bed room. I only am able to rate the staff and my room since I did not use the pool or other facility amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful during the check in process. I did not require any assistance from the staff other than the normal checking in and out procedure, which went very smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, the only problem was that I had to push the toilet button down pretty hard for it to flush and the curtain shower did not do a good job at keeping the water in the shower, but this could be my own error. For my simple needs the room and service were sufficient. Not a 5 star hotel as far as looks go, but I don't need a 5 star hotel for my needs.

Everything was good except there was some gum stick in our blanket and some toothpicks on the floor that my son touched and I had to wash his hands ten times with hand sanitizer..

customer service could have been better

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: I like that it's close to my grandkids.
Cons: add kids water toys and maybe clean the hall carpets more often.
Location: grandkids
We have stayed at this facility before when we are in SLC visiting grandchildren. We had opted to pay for our vacation viaa cash but they wouldn't take our cash plus they wanted to charge more for the room than their advertised rate. They told me that was the rate for cash payment. I had no trouble leaving a credit card for incidentals but when they said it would take 10-14 days for the hold to be released I left. Then I called to get a quote, got a higher rate. Got online, made a reservation for lower than the 2 rates I had been quoted, purchased a reloadable money card and it worked like magic. I am getting really tired of not being able to pay cash for services. The front desk clerks were not very nice about it either.

Great central location

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Loved how close to downtown the hotel is and the fitness rom and hot tub.
Everything was pretty good except there was a long hair that was in the hand towel when I arrived and the empty cup that looked like it had been forgotten by the staff in the room. It was a good stay and the continental breakfast was decent.

One night stay.

Was adequate for showering and sleeping however doors are paper thin and can hear everything in the hallways. I would say a step above Motel 6. The staff was friendly though.
