Great downtown location. Very close to shopping, food, bars, nightclubs, etc... Great views off rooms with balcony.

Meh, Clean but could have gone better.

Woke up the morning after our night stay only to find out the shower knob was broken. They asked if we'd like to shower in a different room, but by that time we were already checking out.

New Years Vacation in San Francisco

Posted Feb 28, 2015
We stayed at Hilton San Franciso Union Square hotel from Dic. 31, 2014 until January 4, 2015. I booked it through Expedia. My daughter left $400 in her purse and she was robbed. At night when she checked her money was missing, immediately contacted security. They did a check up in our suite and told her to contact the hotels offices in the lobby. She did that twice with no results and she we left the hotel they told her to call back in a couple of weeks. She did the call from Guatemala and finally after insisting 4 or 5 long distance calls they told her her case was denied. She really was robbed at this hotel and no one helped. Nice hotel close to Union Square

We stayed here for an event in the city, one night. The price might seem high, but when compared to same priced hotels near the wharf this hotel stands head and shoulders over those. We had a pool view room with a patio, good sized room, very clean, loved the shower / bathroom area. Nice to sit on patio with morning coffee. For the most part the hotel staff was friendly, but when we checked in the front desk clerk was quite rude. We did not eat here or visit the bar but it looked nice. Short walk to Union Square where you can enjoy all the shops & eateries in that area. I also appreciated the hotel staff checking room keys upon our late night reentry. Keeps the riff faff out of the hotel.

NOT VERY GOOD LOCATION AND BAD FACILITIES

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: did'd like at all
Location: nothing to do.
It‘s a little far from Union Square, and the hotel do not have much entertainment. The bed is really uncomfortable! I have to awake several times when sleeping on that bed! Every time I got up I felt tired. The room is small.

A regular hotel

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Cons: Room decoration, voice insulation,
Location: Location seems to be ok.
The hotel rooms are quite old looking. My room was extremely noisy. All the elevators sounds were in the room. We have complained and received 25%discount on the price. Extra charge for wifi. I will prefer to try some other hotel, next time when I visit San Francisco .

Save your money and don't stay here!

We booked two nights here for a getaway weekend. It started in the parking garage when they told us there were spots on the top floor. After driving around and waiting almost an hour, we finally got into valet. The parking is a complete nightmare. In addition, I had to call concierge at 3am regarding a large party next to us, which was not resolved. The thermostat in the room didn't work as well. Upon departure, we explained our troubles to the front desk, with no assistance from them. By far my worst hotel experience. I will never stay at a Hilton again.

Great

Pros: Everything.
Location: It's extremely convenient to Union Square; there are two, 24-hour diners across the street, and it's in the heart of the city.
Housekeeping was excellent; I requested morning and evening service and was promptly accommodated. Concierge staff is one of the finest I've ever encountered... The staff answered all questions without even having to look it up. Front door staff was very helpful, too.
