The pictures on the site were misleading.Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Free wi-fi
Cons: Room renovations
There were cracks in the wall & torn up lampshades. The first room they gave us had a squeaky wall heater so we asked to change rooms. The second room had a cigarette butt on the AC/heating unit & it was supposedly a non-smoking room.

Not what I expected.Posted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: The staff member that checked me in was very pleasant.
Cons: The hotel appears rather old and would benefit from an upgrade ASAP!
The bathroom had rust around the light fixture and the ceiling was soiled.

didn't warrant 3.5 starsPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Bar and Lounge was nice. At least they had a flat screen TV for the NFL games.
Cons: This was a 1950's hotel that needed serious updating to keep up a better standard
Location: Location was good. Had an Outback restaurant nearby.
Temps were very cold outside. Upon entering the room, the temp couldn't have been more than 58 degrees. Turned heat to max and in 2 hours still wasn't tolerable to be comfortable. Staff changed rooms and it wasn't much better. Finally after 1 1/2 hr we were at least able to take a shower. Left the heat on max until about 7 am the next morning. You would think if it were working properly, we couldn't have withstood the heat! In other words, it wasn't working.

Quiet get away with wifePosted Dec 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The only negative is there was no information in the room (i.e., TV Guide, nearby places to eat, local attractions, local magazine, etc.).

Hotel has gone downhillPosted Nov 29, 2013
Our room had mold from water damage. The phone was torn up and had no buttons! The air conditioner didn't work. They keep the lobby looking amazing so you expect a nice room but the rooms are in terrible shape.

Dismal, Disappointing, Insecure with Noisy HeatingPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: Room and beds were ok.
Cons: New heating/AC system, full completion of renovations, secure door access.
When we arrived at the hotel there was nobody at the desk as the clerk was out smoking in his car and had to run inside to check us in. Our king room was okay, however the hotel seemed to be basically empty other than us a some folks I believe are staying there to work on the renovations. I had asked for a room with a view and was told we had a courtyard room, however it had a view of the wall next to the pool. The second and third floors are closed for the winter as well as the indoor portion of the pool, and the restaurant. I also noted that the outdoor pool is also woefully insufficient for a hotel this size at approx. 25'x25'. The supposed secured doors which require a room key were never secured at any time during our stay. We stated in Room 135 and the biggest problem that we had was that the heating/AC unit has only settings for either high or automatic heat/fan/AC which was very noisy and cut on and off about every 5 minutes regardless of which setting was selected, so we had a very difficult time sleeping. While we were scheduled to stay another night, we checked out the next day and moved on to our hotel in Nashville.
