close to main highway for easy access to airport

Pros: price and convience
Cons: more professional looking staff. they were nice but not to business like
Location: close to clearwater beach tarpon springs restarants and shopping
arrived early room not ready felt a little uneasy as afternoon shift looked a little "ify" and seemd to be alot of "unusually young pants sagging" young boys hanging around. however they stayed to themself and no issues what so ever. have never stayed a t a place where guest was responsible for TAKING OUT YOUR OWN TRASH????? a strange request

Would try not to stay here again

I knew I was in trouble when, while checking in, I asked to use the bathroom just outside the lobby entrance, and the toilet wouldn't flush, and there was no toilet paper. When I got to my room, the toilet was running constantly, the toilet seat was so loose I think I could have easily yanked it off, and no one had cleaned the hair and dirt around the seat. However, I called the front desk, and someone came up promptly to fix and clean everything. (Also, there was no dresser for my clothes; that didn't really matter, though, because I was staying only two nights.) ... From then on things weren't too bad. The room was quiet and roomy. The a.c./heater worked fine. The shower worked fine. The staff was pleasant and helpful. ... The problem was, the place just wasn't very nice. It needed a good fixing up. And like most hotels on U.S. 19 in Clearwater, the location was dismal. U.S. 19 is not where you want to be, especially during winter. On the other hand, it was reasonable, compared to the La Quintas and Red Roof Inns. I would try not to stay there again, but if I couldn't find anything else nicer and comparably priced, then I would consider it.

Worst stay ever & manager won't return my call.

Reserved two nights in a king room. We were put in a smoking room with two double beds. Air conditioner didn't work. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. I got sick from sleeping in an ashtray. Went to the office in the morning and cancelled the second night. It has been one week now and my credit card still has a charge for two nights and I have yet to get any returned call or email from management/owner after several attempts. Many of the guests appeared to be permanent residents. We will never stay at another America's Best Inn & Suites.

Completely nasty hotel.

Cons: Tear it down and rebuild. I am very sincere!
Location: Pretty far from the beach, especially with traffic.
Expedia booked hotel with blind pricing. I would have gladly paid twice the amount for a better experience. I will no longer use Expedia for my travel. Very deplorable environment. Curtan rod falling off balcony. AC on balcony made loud hammering sound. Staff made the comment to me on the phone when I inquired about no replacement of the plastic cups from maid service, "what hotel would you expect to have cups in the room". I think that says it all! The cover scent used to mask whatever was nauseating throughout. Ceiling bubbled in from water damage. It was hard to get under the covers due to fright! Topless bar across the parking lot. Busy intersection. So on!

Location: Beach!
I have never got a key to a room where the bed was as the last person left it. I had to wait at 11 pm for the staff to change linen. The doors, floors are filthy I tried to walk only in my shoes. No non smoking rooms, and I had to ask for a hair dryer because there was not in the room, neither a waist basket.

Very dirty hotel

The room was very dirty....one chair was so stained would not even set a bag on it. All rooms appeared to be smoking rooms. Had a candy or grape or something in the sink drain. Says ranked 3 star but I have never stayed in a room that was this nasty before. Also, one of the outside doors did not even lock!! Their idea of a continental breakfast was a tiny danish, Sunny D, and coffee. Only good thing I can find to say about this hotel is the receptionist was cordial and it was a king size bed. Will never stay there again!

Close to Clearwater Beach

Pros: Price, convenience, staff, room was great.
Cons: Needs laundry facilities
Location: 10 minute drive to Clearwater Beach/aquarium. Less than a mile from the Phillies Spring Training home (Bright House Field).
This hotel has some of the best rates of any (reasonably priced) hotels in Clearwater. Great room with flat screen, fridge, microwave, french doors opening to private balcony. Worth it!

Cons: The pool area, They stated continental breakfast - which was very disappointing.
Location: Hotel was located right off Us Hwy 19, about 20 minutes from the beach not much to do around
I will not stay there again. The hotel smell was very musty, stains on the carpet.
