“best location in the rocks”

The location was excellent for all our needs: restaurants, entertainment and nearby sights. Didn't opt for a harbour view room but had a great view of old rocks buildings and city skyline. Room was not large but extremely well designed to maximise the space. Didn't seem small at all and we were three travellers in the one room. Check in was a little slow but not a problem. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

“THE ROCKS IS THE PLACE”

I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Old Rocks Hotel simply because of its location. I was a little worried about reviews from other visitors but i found nothing wrong with the hotel. The location to Circular Quay, the Harbor bridge and the Opera house is unbeatable. The little restaurants in the immediate area are great value. The room i had was simple but comfortable and when you turn out the lights even 5 star hotel rooms look the same, besides there was so much to see and do i was hardly ever in it. I truly recommend this hotel and if i ever go back to Sydney its the first hotel i will look at staying at again.

Good clean hotel, good breakfast, excellent location just steps away from the Harbour area with the Opera House and Circular Quay. Staff very helpful and the room very comfortable, we would highly recommend this hotel to others and if in Sydney again we would choose this hotel to stay in.

Hotel personnel were extremely helpful providing travel information and setting up various tours of the Sydney area. This is a superb central location with easy access to ferries, trains, and busses. The Opera House and the Harbor Bridge are within easy walking distance as is the Central Business District (CBD).

“Better than expected!!”

Our room was very nice. Beautiful bathroom, nice furnishings, complimentary robes and slippers, etc. The view was unbelievable. Our window looked out onto the harbor and the Opera House. The rooftop pool is great, but the rooftop views are among the best in the city. The staff was also very helpful and the location of the hotel couldn't be any better. Easy walk to great food and fun. Circular Quay is a 5 minute walk and you can ferry/bus/train to anywhere you want.

“Perfect location”

Holiday Inn, the Rocks is an extremely convenient place to stay for a weekend in Sydney. It is convenient to the markets, Circular Quay, Bridge Climb amongst other things. We stayed during the Sydney "Vivid" festival and it was conventient to all those locations, and not only that you could see the amazing "lighting of the sails" of the opera house from the roof, as well as the "fire show" at Campbell's Cove. Also great views of Bridge and entire skyline.

First great older hotel. Just about under the harbor bridge and across the bay from the opera house. Fabulous shop and restaurants close by. Staff took care of all of my needs in a timely fashion. Nice in house lobby with a nice sitting area and bar close by. I don't think you can go wrong by staying here.
