I rate cleanliness as the most important feature in any accommodation. I was disappointed to find a stained toilet seat…obviously partially cleaned but certainly not thoroughly cleaned. The hotel has a beautiful old charm, the whisky bar is a lovely dining option. I feel my rating is somewhat harsh but a partially cleaned toilet seat is really a big negative. Thank you

I was actually a little reluctant to stay here because it looked kind of old in the photos but my Dad convinced me that it was classic/traditional. I'm glad he did because it's one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The rooms were enormous and so were the bathrooms. Everything was clean and tidy. The location is simply amazing. It's a short walk to the Big Bus Tour which was important to us but may not matter to you.The staff were also super helpful and validated our parking for the whole day after we checked out. The buffet breakfast was also very good, although not quite amazing but that's only because I've stayed a couple of place where the buffet included an omelette bar.

The location is incredible but it’s the staff that really makes this a superior hotel. Just walk down to circular quay for a morning stroll and grab a coffee at the buffet.

The room service food is ridiculously expensive. Love the old style feel but does not make sense that their are not smart TVs in the rooms for streaming. Bath was dirty so unusable.

On check in the receptionist didn’t really want to deal with us as she was doing something else. Instructed by her colleague to check us in. So wasn’t a great start. Our package included a bottle of wine, which I mentioned but got no response. After two days I mentioned we had not received the bottle of wine to a concierge who did a great job of ensuring we had a nice chilled bottle of bubbly when we returned from our walks that day. Very greatly appreciated and thanks to that staff member. Property had great large rooms with plenty of sitting room. Unfortunately is getting old and in need of maintenance that will never come. Sadly the site is subject to a DA that will involve the demolition of the hotel. While the hotel is still available I would recommend it for it’s still comfortable old world charm and it’s location at Circular Quay.

I loved the location, the staff were nice and helpful, I felt very safe as I was staying there by myself. I would absolutely go back again... Yes, the hotel is a little tired but it's an oldie and a goodie, it put a smile on my face, thinking that is what I'm like ;-)

So close to Circular Quay and a lovely old world property with huge rooms and beautiful large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Views (partial) of the harbour and Circular Quay through large windows. Convenient parking which is well priced. Enjoyed our stay.
