Great location

A tired hostel but centrally located Plenty of variety of eating places nearby at a variety of prices . Hop skip and a jump form the markets. Staff were friendly and incredibly helpful .

Decent hostel

Posted Oct 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hostel is a 10 minute walk to central station and about a 25 minute walk to the opera house and circular quay. The elevator did not work, there were cockroaches in the bathroom, and the kitchen is small for the amount if people. The location is convenient though.

Good option for young , budget-conscious travelers

Posted Feb 6, 2013
Pros: the cost
Cons: the rowdy, over-crowded kitchen and public room facilities.
Location: Sydney CBD near Central Station, Chinatown, Darling Harbor, and with convenient access to just about everything else of interest in Sydney..
Nomads caters to youthful international travelers on a budget -- with organized parties and other activities. If I were a party-oriented youth I probably would have been quite happy with it. It would definitely not be appropriate for families with younger children, and I think most folks over 40 would find it at least somewhat uncomfortable. The international mix of the visitors was interesting, but the social climate was on the wild side. The kitchen facilities were very inadequate for the number of people being served -- crowded, noisy, difficult to find space in the refrigerators, etc.

Great location but not clean enough!

Posted Oct 16, 2012
Great location but the place is a bit rundown. It seems like no one came to clean the bathroom during my stay (4 nights) that was shared for the 4 beds dorms

For a short cheap roof over your head its enough. You get what you pay for really.
