The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Posted Apr 12, 2015
The hotel smelt like rotten fish! There was still rotten food in our room at checkin. There was hair all over the bathroom. The floors were filthy(to the point you could see my kids foot prints on the bottom of their white socks). Dogs were barking and they admitted to cleaning only once every 8 days!!! It was disgusting. We cancelled our rooms early and left sooner than expected because we didn't feel comfortable even putting our 4 month old down. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Basic, not flashy but effective

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Had all the basics and was in decent shape.
Cons: Fitness center, a breakfast area
Location: Near USF, Busch Gardens etc
Check in was easy. Hotel is in decent shape. No frills hotel (no fitness center, the "grab and go" breakfast is literally that -- a tray of muesli bars, apples, coffee pot and pre-packed muffins). Fine if you just need a nice bed under you and a roof over your head. 3/4 kitchen included in every room (decent size fridge/freezer, two-burner cooktop, microwave, dish sink). All cooking utensils are available on request (plates, pots, cups, cutlery etc).

Clean and comfortable

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: Clean and comfortable; big refigerator; kitchen sink in room (besides bathroom). Good sized oom.
Cons: Breakfest was sub-par. When a hotel advertises "free breakfeast" we think of something more than "grab and go." No bathroom near lobby.
Location: Location was close to Mofat Center, University of South FL, and close to I - 4 and I - 75.
Check in went well. Hotel staff did what they should. We noticed no bathroom near lobby, which was not a real issue to us, but could be in some cases. We were disappointed that the free breakfest was so limited. Adding hot water to an envelope of oat meal is not the same as oatmeal. No orange juice or milk. Only colffee, some sweet rolls, granola bars, and apples marked "not prewashed." Room was fine. Room was large, had kitchen sink, 2 burner stove top, and large refrigerator. While there were no dishes or sivlerware, they were available upon request. TV worked fine, but had very llimited channel selection. No Fox news network, Hallmark channel, or UP Entertainment. We were there two nights. We were happy with the hotel staff, but did not have any real needs or problems.

Wouldn't stay again

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: Fairly close to my meeting place the next morning
Cons: Service, cleanliness, audit appliances in rooms
Location: N/A
The Extended Stay America seems old, doesn't seem to be kept up. My room had the microwave and ironing board missing. Refrigerator did not chill well (just put bottled water in it and it didn't get cold over night despite the thermostat being on coldest setting). I just stayed one night, so I didn't complain, but pointed out the deficiencies to the morning front desk person who was personable. The night front desk person seemed tired, not upbeat or particularly motivated - lack of urgency to get the guy in front of me checked in quickly so she could help me since it was late in the evening.

One of the rooms they got me smelled like cigarrettes, even though it was non-smoking. They were nice to change it. The isle smelled like cigarrettes, but the room was nice. They only have small soaps, no shampoo or conditioner. AC wasnt good. The first night it was hot.

Stinky odor in room and 3rd floor

Posted Jan 8, 2015 on Hotels.com
I was quite thrilled to begin with for finding this great deal but when I walked in the room that all changed! The room was pretty clean but the stench (smell) was horrific.. We were not sure why the room or entire floor as I also rented the room in front of mine on the 3rd floor. It smelled like cigarrete smell but also another funky odor. My husband smelled the rug and he says it was from there.. not sure if it was the glue that was used! We arrived at 5pm, new years eve. We knew it was only to sleep a couple of hours since we were going to busch gardens for the festive evening.. but when we all woke up our throats were scratchy, stuffy noses, and the kids were not feeling well. Once we stepped out of the hotel, and after a little while, we all felt okay again. Not sure what was the odor but I will not stay here again!
