This hotel was under construction. No working elevator, no pool. We were given a room in the corner with one small window that was in the bathroom. The refrigerator did not work. At night we walked to the back half of the hotel the was closed for “construction” it had obviously been closed for a long time. There were signs up, saying that the back of the hotel was in fact condemned. When we walked up to the pool that was closed, it was not closed for construction. The pool had obviously not been open in years. Do not be fooled by the photos of the landscape either. It is one small section in the front of the hotel, it does not reflect the entire property. Don’t stay here. The food in the restaurant was ok. A cup of OJ is $6.

Its a good enough stay for a night or two. It could use some updates but for the price, it was good. Location is great, central enough for getting around to all the best places in Tampa. I would stay again. It was too cold for pool time and it was under construction so we didn't check it out.

This is a hidden gem with wonderful rooms, fantastic cafe off the lobby frequented by locals who know a great thing, and an accommodating staff. Our only choice while in Tampa just minutes from the airport and at surprisingly affordable prices.
