Clean room in a cozy little town

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Located in a cute, quaint little town. The bed was so soft and very comfortable.
Cons: The decor needs a little improvement.
Location: About 15 miles from Pechanga Hotel and Casino.
The Fallbrook Country Inn was a nice little motel off of the 15 freeway. We stayed there because all of the major hotels in Temecula were booked. It was quite pricey and I was surprised it cost as much as it did when we drove up (that's another thing, it was difficult to find with Mapquest's directions). Once we entered the room though it wasn't bad at all. The room was VERY clean and spacious. It was well equipped and quiet. Don't expect a luxury hotel, you are in a motel, but it was very comfortable and very nice. The Innkeeper was very kind and the service was great.

Old and very out dated.

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Location, close to where we needed to be.
Cons: Everything!
This motel was disappointing. It was very out dated. The linens did not fit the bed. The blanket was ridiculous, too small and very "thin". Everything was clean except the liner for the shower curtain. It was dirty and disgusting. The faucet in the tub dripped. The owner/manager was very nice and tried to make us comfortable. I would not stay there again nor would I refer anyone else to stay there.

Fallbrook not very country Inn

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Rooms were very large. The pool and hottub were nice. There were refrigerators in the rooms.
Cons: Put some effort into actually caring beyond the cosmetic of paint. The desk was missing a large strip on the front edge. The table top was corroded.
Location: Could walk downtown. Restaurants and stores nearby.
The photos on the website look much nicer than actuality. When the rooms were painted, no effort was made to patch holes or remove old curtain hardware first. They just painted over everything. Our heater did not work. They did offer to bring in a portable.

Dear Kim, Thanks for your feedback we always appreciate it because it works as a guideline for future improvement. Regarding your comment on paint we agree that at the time of painting our housekeeping personnel did not take care of it and for heater we are very sorry for inconvenience caused to you but by now we have rectified the problem. Again thanks for the business and your feedback, Thanking you, sincerely, Neal Mehta. Manager.

Fallbrook Country Inn sounds charming and quaint, but when you arrive it is a Motel. It is outdated and smells a little but mildewish. It worked for us because we were only sleeping there, but I would've preferred to know what we were getting into. The blanket had small holes in it and the towels were very scratchy.

OK stay

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Maintenence, upgrade lighting and furniture.
Location: Good location. Access to stores and fast food
It seems as though the flexability of the time you stay has do be done one day at a time, unless you are sure your staying for the reserved time period. No refund or adjustments. The funiture is old and dated. My heater didn't work and from talking with other guests they had the same problem. The place was very clean and the landscape is well maintained. For the price this is good bet. Just make sure your HVAC unit is working.

Safety Risks

Posted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Inner courtyard with pool. Within walking distance of restaurant. The "deluxe" rooms were spacious.
Cons: Working fixtures and telephone and upgraded mattress.
The telephone in the room did not work. No dial tone. Found that it was not plugged in but when we plugged it in, it still did not work. My sister's room had lamps that were unplugged. When she plugged them in, they still did not work, due to broken switch. Apparently the management knows these things are broken and their method of handling them is to unplug them, but not fix them. The mattress was getting old but was still OK. It was a spacious room and clean so if you don't care about the safety factor of not being able to phone for help or not being able to use some of the fixtures, you might consider getting this room. We were assigned the "Deluxe" rooms. They appeared to be larger in square footage than other rooms, but I am sure we got the best rooms they had. The rooms had sliding glass doors that opened onto an inner courtyard with pool which was nice. If this motel was maintained better, it would be a nice little place to stay.

Good value

Posted Jan 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a last minute trip and the price was really the driving factor. It was really a great value. The room was clean but the sheets reminded me of staying at Grandma's house. The only negative thing I have to say was the towels were like drying with sandpaper.

Served the purpose

Although there was a carpet stain and old fashioned bedspread, overall the room was very clean and updated. New cabinetry, tub very clean. It states continental, but I went early and there was only coffee, orange juice and cereal. Clean facility. We just needed a place to crash after gambling at pechanga. It was about a 15-20 drive from pechanga.

Good value for the cost

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Older facility (1970s?) but well-maintained. Located in town, so most everything in Fallbrook is near-by (Walgreens, CVS and fast-food and other restaurants within two blocks). Rooms well-removed from street, so no traffic noise (not that there's much traffic at night in Fallbrook). Well-maintained pool in a central courtyard. Continental breakfast, WiFi, decent cable TV selection. 18-mile non-freeway drive to coast (Carlsbad area). 10-minute drive east to I-15; another 5-10 minutes to Temecula. Staff was pleasant. Housekeeping did their jobs well. No reluctance to stay again on next visit to area.
