First trip to Phuket

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: The food menu for both restaurants should have a greater selection, and there should be some type of bar and club, like events to go on in the late ev
Location: The location is nice if you are trying to get away from everything, but makes it very expensive to go out into Phuket.
The staff are very friendly and do there best to resolve any issues that come up.

Do not expect any consideration of you situation

Posted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The stay was fine. The hotel was OK. The beach was not useable. Our flight was delayed one day in Kuala, but there was no sympathy by the hotel - not refundable for non use. We still had to wait until 2pm to check in since the rooms needed to be made up. I will not use this hotel again. It seems close to the Air Port, but it is hard to find and even harder to get to. The management has no desire to make your stay a pleasent one unless you are willing to spend the cash.

Not for couples

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Conveniently located near the airport we stayed here one night before sailing from yacht haven marina. The hotel is new and comfortable set on Mai Khao beach which is a long quiet strip of sand. However, the hotel is rather faceless and impersonal. Lots of families and kids activities but not one for couples. As it is near the airport it is rather isolated and the taxi mafia in place in Phuket will charge a fortune to go anywhere.

Good for families with kids

Posted Mar 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was there to attend a wedding and stayed alone. But if you are bringing kids along, it is a great resort for children because they have a lot of child-friendly activities.

Short family getaway

Posted Feb 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great hotel if you want to get away for a short break. We had booked a family room which went down really well with the kids. They had their own room with a bathroom, tv and playstaion3. My daughter loved the kids club and she could have happily stayed there the entire day. Staff at kids club were very caring and accomadating on our requests. In summary, if you have small kids (2-10) then they will love the hotel. There are activities on site to keep them occupied and happy. One minor comment from the kids was the lack of a slide into the pool but part from that great place to get a way.

Great Family resort

Posted Jan 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
While this resort is fairly isolated, it was great for a quiet family vacation. The beach was superb! Very long beach with clean white sand. We loved the food and ate there often because there were not a lot of other choices. There are other hotels down the beach that are a 10-20 min walk on the beach. Beach chairs were rather dirty but our room was very clean and room service was excellent. All the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. The resort will set up activities for you which include all your expenses (food, taxi, etc). It's not as classy as a 5 star, but it was a strong 4 star. I would definitely return there except for the 36 hour commute!!!!

Fantastic breakfast and superb spa

Posted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Rather hit and miss! Some excellent aspects but some disappointments e.g. brilliant start to the day with breakfast but not enough loungers (which were stained) around the pool; "Pesto" restaurant by the pool was 50/50 too with its service and delivering what it said on the menu. Outdoor film club was well received. The Spa was one of the best I have experienced. Top room and shower.

Wonderful Stay

Posted Nov 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were here for business (working Soi Dog of Phuket. An NGO to help with Thailand's street dogs) Soi Dog recommended this hotel for us and I am so glad they did. We had a great stay. The staff was WONDERFUL and everyone we met was so sweet and their customer service was the best. Your a bit isolated at this resort, for us it was fine due to we were working during the day. The sunsets were AMAZING, the pool was clean, the food was great, the beds and pillows were comfortable, internet worked great, we were able to adjust the room temperature to get relief from the outside heat, and again the staff was awesome. I would stay here again for my next trip back to work with Soi Dog OR if I wanted to vacation.

Quiet and comfortable resort next to the beach

Posted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Good service from the staffs, perfect atmosphere everywhere.
Location: You are in the middle of nowhere but in a positive way: Nature and a terrific beach just outside. Nothing to do but relax or join some of the events.
We stayed at the hotel for three nights, our first stay in Thailand, and we had a terrific and relaxed stay. The resort is next to the beach and far from the crowdy tourist areas, just like we wanted it to be for this short trip.

Misinformed Front Desk Staff

Posted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: The only thing that saved this trip was the wonderful staff at the Spa, Pool Bar, and Restaurants. My friends children had the best time at the kids
Cons: Never saw a manager present at Front Desk area on the many trips we made to get taxi or ask questions. Need to better educate staff in this area.
Location: Turtle Village is a very nice place to shop and the restaurants at the surrounding area hotels were excellent. Central Mall is also a good place.
Upon arriving at hotel there was no electricity. When checking in they offered to let our party ride the shuttle free into to town so we could wait it out till 5 p.m. (Over 7 hours with no electricity). We took them up on the offer and went into town. Upon returning we had to wait over an hour for the shuttle, once it arrived there was just enough seats on the shuttle bus for all of us that were waiting. Poor planning on hotel staff, as well as we tried on several days to get a taxi into to town later in the evening and were told no because it was too far. The language barrier as well as the fact that just telling a customer no without some kind of explanation might set better with one than not explaining the reason behind the lack of access to the main cities. If you are planning on going into town to shop the night market good luck as you cannot book a taxi to come pick you up unless you go through the concierge, at least this was our experience. Also when we complained about electricity and the shuttle being late, all that was offered was a free drink. Did not expect a lot but a free meal would of been much more appreciated. Hotel staff is not very knowledgeable on dealing with any foreigners. We are from USA, but noticed families from Russia and China getting same service. Would expect with the tourist trade that the staff would be more diversified.
