"Nice house, comfortable bed, enjoyable deck for afternoons by the river. We were there in April, used the upstairs master, since it was low-30’s at night, and upstairs was warmer. We liked having Wawona as our base. Local shopping at Pine Tree Market served our needs. We liked the selections, but Wawona Grocery, near the Wawona Hotel, another option. Don’t overlook Wawona Hotel Restaurant, we had great meals there."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Avid Hiker Cabin. It is located in Wawona which is just inside the gates of Yosemite Ntl park. Note, it’s about 40+ min drive into Yosemite valley. The Pine street store is close enough to walk to if you need groceries. The cabin was clean and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the AC worked… made the hot summer visit pleasant. "My little family and I stayed at this cabin during Easter weekend. We were greeted with a somewhat unexpected snowstorm the first night but it absolutely made this trip even better! The neighborhood had the roads plowed by 6 am and the driveways were being worked as well. Our driveway was cleared by 7:30. The cabin was perfect and we had the best time. "Love Yosemite but not the crowds? I get to the park 2-3 times a year, for 25 years now. Foresta is a gem, well off the beaten path for most visitors - but 15 minutes from the valley. Quiet! Wonderful hikes, literally outside your door. Foresta Falls are about 20 minutes away, and they'd be the centerpiece of a park anyplace other than Yosemite. "We were a group of 5 friends that stayed for a few days and the accommodations were good in a very pretty setting. House was well outfitted although we found it surprising that there were no basics like cooking spray, olive oil, tea bags, laundry detergent. For cooking you need to plan to buy absolutely everything you need with possibly the exception of salt and pepper."

"We enjoyed our stay at Cabin 24 in the Redwoods in Yosemite. The cabin had several amenities. Decor is dated but the woodsy atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. Internet was reliable. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Tree roots made parking a bit challenging."

The BBQ had propane, there were hand juicers, and three different ways to make coffee. We walked in and were very happy with the booking.
