"A little gem in Scotland all off grid and powered by solar and wood burners. Excellent deco and facilities with no 3 pin electric socket so no tv and the perfect place to chill and relax especially in the wood fired hot tub. Gordon had it all fired up and by the time we had stoked it too the thermostat was showing 90 degrees and we sat like prunes for 2hrs even when it rained and sleeted it didn’t ruin the relaxation of sitting their looking over the countryside to Loch Lomond. "Stayed for 2 nights and when booking considered location and previous reviews. This great hotel lived up to expectations, from modern decor, friendly staff, super comfortable bed and brilliant breakfast (probably the best I have had!). Our room on 6th floor looked onto the Clyde and we could hear the trains leaving and arriving in Central station, but it did not bother us at all. I would not hesitate to stay again."
