It was wonderful to just sit on the back porch enjoying the views and the quiet atmosphere. They have the most comfortable beds with super soft linens. They really thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as can be. We can’t wait to stay again."

We had everything we needed to be able to fully enjoy ourselves. The owners were absolutely awesome in making sure we had a great stay and connected with us during our trip to give us some great pointers for local fare and things to do. "The Finch house was beautiful and rustic! I would definitely stay here again! There is a small creek that runs right behind the house, and the porch is nice to sit and relax. The swing under the house and hammock were a nice touch also. There were plenty of towels upon arrival, the beds were cozy. We didn’t want to leave!"

"Very nice. Clean. Easy to find. Beautiful addition and character. Wi-Fi was a bit troublesome but worked. We loved the old original floors and the squeak in the master bedroom. Kitchen was very nice and decorated well. First hot shower had sulfur smell which is not uncommon with electric water heaters and well water that sit sometimes. Subsequent showers it was much better. Would stay there again regardless. Bluebonnets were coming up. Views over the water were amazing. Close to town if...

"My grandchildren have not experienced camping in a tent. I wanted them to experience sitting around a picnic table rather than a living room, everyone sharing one room, one bathroom for all of us, no screens for most of the day, few appliances. All was accomplished! Management was responsive to all needs and offered solutions. The property feels the pinch of no available workers. I find that is everywhere!"

I texted with “Vacasa” frequently and they were not very helpful or forthcoming of what I needed to bring (spices,foil,Tupperware,etc..) and was told no Christmas decor in the home (despite listing saying it had decor on VRBO).
