"A delightful cabin getaway with a gorgeous view of a private fishing lake. We enjoyed making fires and taking walks in the back. The cabin was clean and quiet, and evenings were not spooky with all the outdoor lighting around the place at night. Would love to return!"

"Nice getaway, designed for outdoor social, not very good for inside social, but we headed out to have good times with a quick game and a couple meals inside. Needs a tv in the small social area, could be on a small table. Could use a deep clean top to bottom but mostly it was clean and safe."

We always like to explore the area and Dowagiac was a gem of an area to go. Sage was our contact and he checked on us multiple times. We had one issue with our bed and he was not only prompt but he made sure to make it right. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway."

"We rented for a weekend, so we could get to know the local area. Sister Lakes is a nice area, consisting of several lakes, including Cable Lake (where the cabin is located). There were plenty of beds and the bathrooms and kitchen were well-updated. The screen porch was a perfect place to enjoy a time-appropriate beverage and the beautiful Cable Lake view. Easy check in and nicely stocked and furnished!"

"Fun time with four of our grands…ages 9, 6, 4 &4. Kids slept on pull out couches & chairs. Loved the fire pit, a little pickle ball & short ride to South Beach. Kids Corner was a big hit. A few issues but manager was quickly responsive. Would like to go back with grown kids along too!"

"Adorable!! Cute town, nice people, great accommodations. The only downside was that we were unaware the property was pet-friendly and there was a LOT of dog hair in the cottage, in the corners, all over the fabric sofa in living room and even woven into the bed sheets (not just the bedspread, but the actual sheets) we had to wash the linens before use, but no big deal, we love animals, we just weren't expecting the animal hair to be left behind. "Such a cute cabin, exactly as described. Perfect location, close drive to downtown (maybe 5 min). Very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Perfect for the dogs with a large yard area. Hot tub was a nice touch and we had it to ourselves. I would stay here again in a hearbeat!"

"We had a great time while we were in the area loving all the FALL beautiful colors. We made a trip to the lighthouses in St. Joseph, the carousel, and shopping downtown St. Joseph!! We visited the Old Rugged Cross Church too!! If you want a great local Michigan beer, check out Sister Lake Brewing Co.!! Sage’s place was beautiful, and comfortable! Clean too… perfect tv’s to catch the Ohio State Game. There is a Keurig for morning coffee, and coffee provided. "

"Everything was wonderful about the cottage. The only drawback is the lack of lake access. The public waterway is narrow and between two close houses. We didn’t feel comfortable using it. Otherwise it was very clean and nice. It is close to Roadside Beach on Lake Michigan so that was a bonus!"

"We had a wonderful time. The condo was cozy and comfortable. I will say that there must not have been recent guests before us because we saw a lot of dust and cobwebs on the windows and room fans, but we cleaned it up as needed. The walk to the beach was much further than we anticipated, thankfully our 4 year old is always up for an adventure as the path down and pack up is extremely steep.
